Peel on.
Will a margarita with salt impact tomorrow’s weigh in?
One? No, but skip the salt anyway.
I like the salt, but maybe I can compromise.
When I used to be a drinker and did WW, I often had one glass of alcoholic beverage the night before a weigh in, it seemed to help. But more than that did not.
Short glass with no salt.
unless you drink enough to puke
Now I want another.
Doing genealogy, and apparently this was a burning question in January 1953:
Should a law be passed to prevent a U.S. President or nominated president from leaving the continental United States?
At least once a week I wonder how the linked post isn’t the most popular one on this site.
I have to be careful not to it an even number of times .
We really need a hall of fame for certain posts.
I think you posted in the wrong thread . . . I don’t see a question anywhere in that post.
Not even an implied one?
I wonder how you missed it.
I was going to say “why isn’t this the most liked post?” And then forgot where I was.
Huge pet peeve of mine is when people put a question mark after an “I wonder” statement. So I kind of violated my own rule in spirit, huh….
Which is your preferred highway exit numbering scheme?
- Sequential numbering. If you know your exit number, you know exactly how many exits until you get off.
- Numbering based on milepost. If you know your exit number, you know exacly how many miles until you get off.
Ideally the exits are numbered to correspond with mile markers.
#2
Some exits don’t have numbers, for various reasons, e.g., interchanges, exits for private roads. If all the exits are numbered sequentially, it’s too easy to miss one. In the vast spaces in the country, it could be many miles between exits, easy to lose track.
Option 2.
With option 1, what happens when they add (or less common subtract) an exit?
Then you have exits 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 8… defeats the purpose. Or worse, they renumber the exit. Last week I was at exit 12 but this week it’s exit 13 and I did not move.
Nope… rife with problems. Tie them to the mile markers.
I’ve seen B and C exits too…
Did Arthuritas intend to make that a poll?
- Dude, lay off.
