Political truths that are worth sharing but aren’t funny

I honestly thought in 2016 that he was purposely trying to not get elected.

He thought so too imo.

The clips of him in the 16 and 20 debates saying he would throw a fit if he lost the election, well, we found out he really meant that, so I guess that is something we should learn from going in to the debate tomorrow.

Biden didn’t tell the truth either. He said we need to fight medicare and people need abortions bc they get raped by their sisters, among many other incoherences.

Trump had more “inaccuracies” than Biden in the debate. However the Trump inaccuracies were mostly deliberate “lies” whereas the Biden inaccuracies were “mistakes”. Neither type of inaccuracy however is acceptable for a POTUS candidate.

The difference is that people like being lied to.

Yes agreed, I just reject many of the excuses being floated to defend Biden’s perfomance: he had a cold, it was late for him, at least he was honest. Our standards for a candidate within the Democratic party have fallen to such a low if we don’t replace him by the convention.

The problem with Trump’s dishonesty, was Biden wasn’t sharp enough to call him out

What about “he’s still not Trump”?

implied red font on that I hope.

“I can’t keep up, so let’s just conclude that every word he says is a lie.”

Yes, he’s not Trump which is a big positive. But the Democratic party is choosing not to replace him despite his condition so I think they’re as culpable for Trump as the R party.

Can the Democratic party legally replace him if he doesn’t want to step down?

TBF I had a similar expression as Biden while listening to Trump. Where do you start with that firehose of nonsense that’s often off topic too?

This is from Ballotpedia quoting DNC Delegate Selection Rules:

Delegates elected to the national convention pledged to a presidential candidate shall in all good conscience reflect the sentiments of those who elected them

No mention of state laws requiring pledged delegates to follow through on their pledges.

But, IMO this is irrelevant. Barring the kind of mental incapacity that would be covered by the 25th amendment, I can’t see the Ds really trying to get delegates to flip. For one thing, most of the pledged Biden delegates are likely strong Biden supporters.
