I haven’t googled it much, but IIRC, the problem with biomass is lag.
It can take decades to grow trees, and then another decade to influence global temperature.
So 100% renewable in the long-run, but not maybe not useful for, say, our children.
There is that. There are also issues with depleting topsoil and other necessary minerals (nitrogen, phosphorous, etc).
As far as lag goes, though, a decade lag is better that a multi-million year lag.
I guess. I think it’s a question of when we peak?
Though maybe that will never happen lol.
The one thing I worry about with AI (besides the world ending) is that photo, video, and audio evidence are going to cease to exist.
Things like “here’s a video of a cop pepper-spraying a bunch of protestors” is going to be meaningless unless there’s some other data.
