This is my PokĆ©mon hill to die onā¦but you should be working on as many best friends as possible, all the time. For new players (and older players who havenāt hit it yet), you are now trying to race to 40 so that you can begin to collect XL candy.

I took a few years off of Pokemon Go, so can you remind me what we get from Best Friends, especially remote ones? Iām at level 39.5 so maybe Iāll find out at 40.
Itās the other way around. The fastest way to 40 is to just keep getting best friends. Itās the fastest way to accumulate xp.

I was already level 40 when XL candy became a thing, so getting to best friends isnāt huge on my agenda. does help with XP though and iād like to get to level 46 one of these days.
Iām stuck at 43. Iāve not been particularly interested in battling and donāt want to spend the time to figure out and build a good attack team and thatās what I apparently need to do for level 44.
oh, i like battling. my sister currently has that issue too, doesnāt like battling, but has to to advance to level 44.
In the old days of more in-person raiding, Iād probably have had someone help me out (do it for me, most likely), but with little in-person thatās too much of an annoyance.
there are websites that tell you which pokemon are good for which leagues. i forget where they are though. can maybe figure it out when i get home. not sure if i have it book marked there.
In the old days, you didnāt want to get to 40 and cap out without having quality PokĆ©mon, dust, etc. was the prevailing theoryā¦now with level expansion, you can do all that after 40, but also get XL candy needed to power up pokemon critical to winning raids and PVP battles.

This is where I am. Battling has seemed a little boring to me so I havenāt invested much into it. I should probably suck it up and grind them all out one day to be done with it.
PVP is what makes the game for me. Each season I seem to do a little better.
the only annoying thing about PVP is when it freezes. itās cool when i win due to this, and frustrating when i lose due to this. iād rather it not freeze so much.

I saw the return of slowpoke with the 2020 glasses and at first thought it was stupid. But after Iād had a few seconds to think about it, it is kind of funny.
Speaking of slowpoke, GoA thinks I posted that in Dec 2021.
apparently when you evolve it one variant sais 2021 and one says 2022
