I heard Vader Immortal is a great game on Oculus.

I just spent an hour and a half dancing with friends in a virtual conference room. That was fun.

The weird thing is that a pair of married guys couldn’t hear each other. We could hear both of them, and they could all of us, but not each other. They moved in meat-space so they could hear each other that way.

I also have an Oculus. Have only bought Beat Saber. Played some paintball and some other floating goal scoring game which were fun, but both of these games, which have me ā€œmove myselfā€ with the controller make me feel sick. Do I just need to get used to it, or am I just too old for any games with controller movement?

I suspect I’m older than you, and i have young friends who can’t walk within virtual space without getting motion sickness. So i doubt it’s your age.

(In fact, I’ve read that young people are more prone to motion sickness.)

In my game, the utter blandness of the virtual conference room may have reduced the amount of motion sickness it induced. I felt more dizzy doing the oculus intro app than i did walking in circles around my living room, maybe because I’m getting used to it, or maybe because there’s just not that much in the conference room.

I’d maybe try one more game, and see how it goes.

Congrats to Lucy on being the most Cyberpunk person I know.

I have a pc vr device and practically the only game I’ve played is fallout 4.

It was pretty great, just because there’s a lot of production value to a detailed post apocalyptic new-england, but probably won’t work on the quest.

To be clear, if I physically move around (e.g., First Steps, Beat Saber), no problem for me. If I remain mostly stationary but move my player within the world with my controller (using the joysticks, like you do in Rec Room), that is when I get motion sickness.

I haven’t done anything that requires me to teleport quickly. I had to teleport about 57 times to get my play area to line up in virtual space with the play area of my friends, but there was no time pressure to do that. I found it a little hard to re-orient myself, but not motion-sick-making. YMMV.

Anyone play the new Nier Reincarnation game? Is it any good? How does it compare to Nier Automata?

I’ve basically near 100%'ed Pokemon Snap and now I’m OCD’ing on Dicey Dungeons and my husband has only himself to blame for this mess.

The 12 year old and husband are also playing Fortnight now. Since I’m the one that likes shooters, I guess that means I have to play too now. Goodbye outside world.

Just saw that this game is now available on Android/iOS. May buy it again since I always have my phone with me, but rarely my switch.

I can’t beat the level 4 witch in Dicey Dungeons. It’s damn near impossible and I’ve probably played the level 200 times by now.

Please halp.

My suggestion would be for others to first buy a Switch (if applicable), then buy Dicey Dungeons, and then level up to witch level 4, at which time I will still be trying to beat it myself and we can commiserate.
