Musk loves to pick these silly little fights, yet apparently works every moment he isn’t sleeping. He really is seeming like a mildly more mature version of Bankman-Fried. Probably faffing about all day. (Not at all like my time on GoA

Definitely some gamers cheat, and I agree as an actuary, I don’t really get it. Why bother?
This strikes me as a little weirder for a couple reasons:
The first is that it’s so completely obvious, that it feels like an exceptionally bad lie? Like embarrassingly bad.
The second is that games like that are really grindy for the sake of grinding. There’s not really much to show off at the end of all your grinding? Just some high numbers? So it’s a funny thing to cheat at without having already invested time into.
That said, presumably Musk did it on a complete whim, so I’m overanalyzing.

Not at all. Bankman Fried was an idealist who fell down a rabbit hole. Besting other people was never his thing. Making money was.
Also, Bankman Fried enjoyed video games, and but all accounts, was pretty good at them.
(I am two degrees separated from BF in about 8 ways. I’m friends with a bunch of people who lived with him in college, dance with a woman who worked for him, and the son of a friend was close enough to the criminal stuff to have cut a plea bargain and testified against him. And my nephew worked for Musk at Tesla, although i doubt he actually knew Musk as a person.)
Can’t wait for elmo to take one of Liam’s children.

Ope, I meant yesterday! I’ve just been seeing all the footage more so today, it’s blowing up all over, I don’t think anyone at this point is unaware. (Obviously tons of people live blissfully unaware in general…but I think most people here are pretty informed)

To be fair he’s always been a loon, but the revelation that he’s a MAGA neo-Nazi is relatively new.
I’ve shut down my X account although I didn’t have the app anyway. Deleted Instagram, I need to download some photos off my Facebook but after that I’ll be deleting my entire Meta account. Made a Bluesky recently.

So far I’ve been pretty happy with Bluesky, I haven’t used it a ton but I’ve logged in maybe a couple dozen times.
Bluesky is awesome. I somehow ended up following a guy who takes pictures with his telescope every night then posts them. Or complains about the weather stopping him from doing so.
And because of bluesky, I learned that there is a map store within driving distance of me. The owner has acknowledged that at least 50% of his customers are on the spectrum.
now, based on another post of yours, I think the map store guy should try and open a location next to the hobby/train store.
