not new - wasn’t the suggestion by Musk that the twitter traffic reports were inflated by not pulling out bots and other fake accounts something he referenced when he tried to back out of the deal?
we still are, my friend. we still are.
Both Musk and Trump live in a weird state of “I could believe anything they purportedly said no matter how stupid”, but still is worth verifying. And yup, this is real:
Does he not have somebody for tech support at all of Twitter?
I mean, if you’ve got the CEO of Microsoft on speed dial, why do you need tech support?
In fairness to Musk, the CEO of Microsoft probably has no idea how to fix a technical problem
The Peter Principle in action!
I’m a people person!
Well, women say it constantly at public meetings where they want books banned.
Can’t be all bad.
This doesn’t seem that weird to me.
I mean, I guess it’s kind of alarming, because his time is theoretically worth millions a second. I assume normal $zhillionaires never need to install windows, and if they did, they would throw the computer off the balcony along with the IT guy…
But otherwise it sounds like a cute story about Musk acting like an almost human being.
Well, you do have the guy that is trying to sell cars that let AI access their computers posting on the internet that he is scared to give his laptop access to AI.
Yeah, that’s what i thought was funny. Now that he doesn’t know how to cope with that, but that the guy who won’t let you use his cars without him having deep control of the car is freaked out about logging into Microsoft to run Windows.
Add the Streisand effect to things that Musk doesn’t understand. Apparently Don Lemon was going to have a regular “show” on Twitter, but Musk canceled it after Lemon interview Musk. So now Lemon has gotten tons of publicity, is going to post the interview on YouTube, and people will actually watch it.
In a later CNN discussion with Lemon on Monday, anchor Erin Burnett played clips of his Musk interview in which the Tesla and SpaceX CEO grew testy when asked about content moderation and the spread of hate speech on the X platform.
In the clip, Lemon asked Musk if he believed that he and his social platform held any responsibility to moderate hate speech on X. He singled out the spread of the “ great replacement theory,” a racist belief that, in its most extreme form, falsely contends that Jews are behind a plot to diminish the influence of white people in the U.S.
Musk replied sharply that he doesn’t have to answer questions from reporters. “The only reason I’m in this interview is because you’re on the X platform and you asked for it,” he said. “Otherwise I would not be doing this interview.” When Lemon followed up with a question about the criticism Musk has faced over the issue of hate speech, the CEO replied, “I’m criticized constantly. I could care less.”
Given his canceling of Lemon’s show, I think he’s right, he does care a great deal and truly could care less. A lot less.
…that means you do care
At least a little…
I don’t think I could care less . . .
I could care less about using “I could care less”, but only by a little bit. It’s just careless.
It’s more about growing up around the wrong people.
Yep… Freudian slip on his part.
