Milestones Toward an Authoritarian Government

Another extrajudicial killing. Trump can just think someone might be up to no good and order their murder.

You can’t actually “report” on the Pentagon anymore. You can only publish officially authorized information, or they will cut off your access.

So if SECDEF texts you attack plans, you had better keep your mouth shut.

Remember – it’s SECWAR now.

You say extrajudicial.

I say official act which must be presumed legal unless proven to be not official, but we aren’t allowed to infer the President’s intent in ordering the killings and there’s no process to show it was not official.

Could be retold as an act of domestic terrorism put down by patriots.

Which it… was…

Predator drones were used to monitor anti ICE demonstrations in Los Angeles

From a freer source:

ABC has a more damning story:

Earlier this week, prosecutors presented Lindsey Halligan – Trump’s former personal attorney whom he appointed to lead the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia – with a detailed memo recommending that she decline to bring perjury and obstruction charges against Comey, the sources familiar with the memo said.

A months long investigation into Comey by DOJ prosecutors failed to establish probable cause of a crime – meaning that not only would they be unable to secure a conviction of Comey by proving the claims beyond a reasonable doubt, but that they couldn’t reach a significantly lower standard to secure an indictment, the sources said.

Despite their recommendations, Halligan – who has never prosecuted a criminal case in her career as an insurance lawyer – plans to present evidence to a grand jury before the statute of limitations for the alleged offense expires next week, the sources said.

Maybe they can indict him for impersonating a ham sandwich.

Why the cheap shot at insurance lawyers! : )

House Democrats should put forward articles of impeachment at least 3x a day, every day the House is open. If it’s closed, line them up so they can be put forward the next time the House is open. It can be against Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Bondi, … anyone in the Executive Branch. Every time someone does something that’s a violation of the Constitution, or a violation of longstanding ethical standards, write it up and offer it on the House floor.

If there has to be a waiting line for Democrats to propose them, do it. Doesn’t matter if every one of them gets referred to committee and dies there for the next 16 months. Flood the official record and then hoist Republicans up on petards next fall for refusing to put an end to this administration’s corruption and this administration’s attempts to be everything we fought against to create this country and win its independence.

I dunno, it’s certainly deserved, but we know it will go nowhere and will just turn it into more of a shit show. Could they run this as a core theme for 2026? Elect a landslide of Democrats for the sole purpose of impeachment? They won’t get the votes in the Senate, but could they just literally impeach him repeatedly his last two years in office and force everything he has done to go through the process? Might be a fitting end to Trump’s term in office since he seems determined to otherwise spend the time doing the same to anyone who has bad words about him.

Democrats have to get in the shit now, trying to be the only ones following rules doesn’t work.
