i have not followed closely bc…trainwrecks don’t always fascinate me.
they are both abusive. both suck as people (but might be very talented actors). it is clear that depp didn’t like the clear implication of her op-ed declaration and went scorched earth as revenge. he has more resources to waste the court’s time with this. they would each have done better spending the attorney fees and energy for the trial on therapy.

a normal healthy relationship doesn’t involve fantasizing that the other person is dead in a really painful way.
I’m not going to assume what makes a normal healthy (sex) relationship. BDSM can be very healthy, for example. It might not be for you, but some people like to be submissive, and some people enjoy being abusive (in the bedroom).

The verdict is in and the judges says that the jury made some omissions (I think the amount of damages maybe) so the judge sent the jury back to get it right. They returned a verdict of defamation, but we don’t know for whom.
It was in Depp’s favor

I think the jury should have awarded them each nominal damages. He’s orders of magnitude wealthier than she is and it’s not really a fair fight.

I think he won more because he’s wealthier. Or rather, because he’s more famous, so a reduction in his future income due to hurting his reputation costs him more.

It had nothing to do with who has more money because they both can afford powerful attorneys and everything to do with who was lying and guilty. Amber Heard is a sick person. After Aquaman you will never see her in a film again.
And now one of them is getting even more money.
