I think incoming means incoming message. Less clear is whose phone they were incoming to.
And the UK has extremely strong libel laws. Honestly, that’s a conviction in court, in my books.
From what i read, depp is going to have a hard time winning in court. If he ever abused heard, then it he loses. I don’t think extenuating circumstances matter.
To state the obvious, i don’t think he’s after proof in a courtroom. He’s after verisimilitude in the public eye, meaning he wants to give people an easier time believing he is innocent if they want to. It seems like he is achieving that. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how much it helps his career. Or hurts hers.

And yeah, if the jury feels there is even one time that he was violent then Amber Heard is a domestic abuse survivor and the article was not slanderous / libelous.
But he is certainly winning in the court of public opinion, and likely to hurt her career as well, given the petition to pull her from Aquaman. Even if she has already been paid in full for Aquaman 2, I gotta think studios are gonna want to stay away from her after this.
Thinking about this some more… Borderline Personality Disorder is caused by trauma that stems from abuse. Is it possible that Amber Heard has BPD because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of Johnny Depp?

Hmmmm, I do not think BPD works that way. The abuse generally occurs in childhood.

Ok, I’m not very familiar with the diagnosis. Just wondering.
It’s a nasty mental disorder. Imagine getting screamed at every minute of the day and the minute you crack and reply in a negative tone you immediately are abusive. That person makes you live up to that until they start screaming in your face again.
Now imagine being married to this person and there is no escape because they will follow you and wait until you get home. Anything they do is okay and anything you do is abusive.

Nah. I think one of my relatives is in this category. Never heard him say anything like this about his abusive wife. He is stuck. Johnny Depp could just leave. Not buying the poor victim excuse here.
Johnny Depp is crazy and this isn’t one sided. You are giving johnny depp too much credit here. He isnt some poor victim. He is a rich actor. Why did he marry her in the first place if she is so abusive? Do they have any kids together? Why did they stay together at all if it was so bad?
You’re right that Johnny Depp isn’t perfect and he made some mistakes. He was doing drugs and said some things he shouldn’t have as a result of her actions. It still doesn’t make him abusive and it ruins the entire me too movement. If Depp was a woman, and Amber Heard was a man, Heard would unquestionably be considered the abusive one.
Why did Depp marry an unstable abusive woman? He’s marrying someone who was like his mother. It’s fairly common

There has to be some power keeping a person in an abusive relationship. What was it here? Sounds like he liked it.
He is rich and could get other women and they dont have children together. What would keep him with an abusive woman other than he liked it?
