Israel - Hamas War October 2023

The last six months huh? It’s been on the internet for years. Yes, I’m aware that you know this.

It just got a lot worse over the last 6 months.

As I stated previously.

Its a clear violation of International law.

In case any of you are interested, no distributor has picked this up yet so you can’t stream it anywhere in the US now.

Some independent theaters have picked it up. If you want to see it, check at your local Indy movie place.

No Other Land has many screenings here at the upcoming Vancouver International Film Festival. Most shows are sold out but there are tickets left for a few of the times. No plans yet for a general release in Canada.

not a surprise and I don’t consider them to be an unbiased source with reports of Hamas infiltration

regarding famine, I would wait until the UN declares it to say it’s happening… the UN is not exactly biased towards Israel (in fact, the opposite), and they said it’s been averted and I don’t see anything more recent from them. I’m pretty sure that the second they’re able to say it’s happening, they’ll say it.

PA president Abbas seems to still be defending his payments to “martyrs” who commit terrorist attacks… the video of this used to be on a PA website but apparently has since been taken down, which is some sign they realized it wasn’t “politically correct”:
“we are proud of the sacrifices of the martyrs”
“I told you once, and I stand by my word, that if we have only a single penny left, it will go to the prisoners and the martyrs”

These are what some of the martyrs are doing, no doubt

Another martyr

Being entirely honest, today I’m unwilling to read a source like Israel National News, similar to Craigslist or Infowars. I might later delve in out of curiosity, but can’t take it as news.

This is a good article that explains Israel’s strategic failings regarding Hamas.

This is a quote from the article. Which is what Israel should have done.

Instead, they let political leaders determine the path forward, and the ensuing large-scale aerial bombardment of Gaza resulted in Hamas surviving, tens of thousands of civilian deaths (mostly children), and Israel being indicted for war crimes.

The words epic failure come to mind. Now its simply descended into a humanitarian catastrophe while Bibi & Co keep destabilising the entire ME.

That strategy isn’t realistic. The tunnel system means Hamas would still be able to get into the areas that were “cleared”. Also, a huge part of the civilian population supports Hamas, and would likely help them in fighting Israel.

The usual suspects will tell you this also isn’t a war crime, for … the usual bullshit reasons.

Why is it Israel’s responsibility to provide electricity for Gaza? It should be Hamas’s responsibility, as they are the elected government there.

Israel controls the infrastructure that goes into the generation of electricity and water desalination.

Blaming Hamas for this is nonsensical at this point.

Which I am sure the ICC will make a note of in their indictment for further war crimes commited by Israel.

That one has not gone away in case you were wondering.

Reuters retracts a sympathetic article about a mother’s feelings about a Palestinian prisoner that wasn’t released as part of the hostage deal… yet. Apparently he was one of the prisoners requested to be released by Hamas. Said prisoner, if I recall correctly, had bludgeoned an Israeli coworker to death. They were unable to authenticate the claims in the article that the Israeli coworker was a Mossad agent, because apparently it would have been okay to bludgeon him to death if he was. But not to worry, the prisoner’s now been released.

Best defense of a bully, that the other side is bullying you

How did this whole thing get started again?

Oh yeah, October 7.

I am just going to leave this here.

You really do need to have a serious think about what it means to respond proportionally.
