That’s really not bad for a custom door. I won’t get to it for a bit but I want to replace our metal door with a wooden one. Vintage Doors has some nice ones but they are more $$$. I wish Baird Brothers made these but they just do interior doors.
If you have time, you could check Facebook or call antique/architectural salvage stores, might find an old one worth reusing.
We just replaced our back screen door. It was about $500, and it has a doggie door built in. It’s metal, not wood, but it was a little more than I wanted to pay. We installed it ourselves. But I guess it was a good price!
It’s like everything else, if you can go to Home Depot and buy it, likely not too expensive. If it’s some kind of low volume, hand made product, it’s gonna cost.
I love my old house but I’ve paid some obscene prices on a few things.
I bought personalized stockings with our names (Dad, Mom, and names of all three boys) on Etsy. Figured it would be a nice way to create a new tradition with foster son.
We had stockings with our initials in the past from Target, and we would buy initialed stockings for our placements each year, but they no longer sell the exact same kinds so the foster kid ones look just slightly different. I have been wanting to buy nice personalized ones for a while, and getting them in September is a little cheaper than waiting another two months!
Almost!!! Yet to decide. I currently have the 2022 version, and this has less chrome and better steering wheel controls it looks like. The blackened look is what is really appealing to me.
