I am going to buy this (these) today and reasons why

Maybe belongs in the “not buying these and reasons why” thread:
Springsteen tix on sale, apparently to the highest buyers (not bidders), so I have no plans to see any of his concerts next year. Something might fall in my lap, but that’s the extent of my energy.
He’s also not playing anywhere near L.A., because apparently he’ll be playing Old-achella (“Desert Trip II”) this or next November, and they won’t let him play in a 300-mile range. No AZ, no OAK, no LV, no SD.
I didn’t see him last time he toured either, nor go to NYC to see his talking show on Broadway. I read the book, how much more is there?

I don’t even trust our Roomba that’s been gathering dust for several years.

Granted, I hear the newer models are much more sophisticated but after seeing it bounce around among 6 chairs (24 legs) for a half hour I don’t even bother. I felt I had to babysit it more than it actually saved time.

Much less an autonomous whirling blade machine.

If your lawn is really simple you could go with this setup:

OMG, that’s awesome!

So on April 10 I bought the

microwave / convection oven / air-fryer / broiler on Mathman’s recommendation. Last week hubs broke part of the glass tray (chipped a piece around the edge) and yesterday our cleaning lady badly cut herself on it.

So now I am buying a new tray. Can’t find the OEM one so opted for a $27 tray on Amazon. Hope it’s the right size and sufficiently durable. I’d like to not replace every 3 months.

I provided cleaning lady with bandaids and antibiotic / pain relief ointment. She says she’s ok. But it was deep so the concern would be if she needs stitches. Plus we feel horrible.

Fingers crossed it’s not 2/7” too large!!!

Did you get the inside edge measurement or the outside edge?

Lol. Sadly, my yard is too complex for a robot, let alone that.

I bought these off GOAT today. The sneaker resale market has been hit pretty hard during the monetary pullback of the last year so I can finally get myself a pair of Nike Dunk’s!!

Jimmy sells 'em. Oh yeah! But Jimmy’s all out right now. Moving to Manhattan set Jimmy back a bit.

I spent by far the most I’ve ever spent on a T-shirt this week. $72.

I wanted a high quality Merino one for travel. We’ll see if the $ was worth it.

Heh, neither. The options on Amazon were 9” and 13.5”.

I held a 12” ruler on the tray and saw that it appeared to be approximately 1.5” shorter than the diameter so I ordered the 13.5” size. :woman_shrugging:

You need a 15" ruler like I have.

And I heard the company that makes yard sticks isn’t going to make them any longer.

I probably do. At one point I realized that hubby & I owned a combined total of zero rulers between us, so I went to buy some on Amazon. They were like $8 each or $15 for a pack of 30. Bought the pack of 30, pulled out 6 for us and donated the remaining 24 to the nearest elementary school. But they are all just 12”. I would like to get a 15” or 16” ruler and a yard stick too.

Dang it, I think I forgot to deduct the $13 donation on our taxes. Oh well; I’m not amending for that.

We have plenty of rulers and tape measures. Between his art and my crafts, we seem to have need for them from time to time. I actually have a quilting mat as a desk protector. I’ve never quilted, but I used a rotary cutter for a project and needed a mat.

I bought an old slag glass lamp, because I liked it and I thought the price was fair. I think it’s going in the library.

15/16" is pretty short and weirdly specific. You may have to find a different length.
