Love it all, well done Tiffany!
We’ve been needing to replace the CO2 cartridge roughly every 3 weeks. Each cartridge is supposed to make roughly “60 liters”, but I think it’s really about 50 liters since they refer to filling 60 of their one liter bottles which you are supposed to fill up to only 840ml. Each cartridge costs about $15 with exchange, which is a lot cheaper per day than what we were spending on seltzer plus our recycling volume is greatly reduced.
Weaselette is looking into a soda stream. Thanks for the info
We use ours for seltzer, but it hasn’t replaced pop.
It’s much less elegant, but for about $150 in co2 equipment, you can cut the cost per liter to almost nothing. You can fill a 5# co2 tank for about $20, a 20# tank for $30. Soda stream canisters are 14.5oz.
Got my husband one of these to replace his water rower that broke last year.
I would hope seltzer doesn’t replace your dad.
…or your salsa.
I generally only have 1-2 soft drinks a week, so I haven’t bothered trying to use the sodastream for that.

DO NOT BUY A CO2 TANK - they’ll take them away ![]()
Actually, there are some places that will “refill” a tank but it is such an inconvenience. Plus, every year or so you’ll have to get it “checked” and that also costs money. Just rent em…
The Infinite Variety of Salsa
Crunchy, piquant or even made with fruit, the Mexican condiment has conquered America and the world.
GEORGE: Why don’t they have salsa on the table?
JERRY: What do you need salsa for?
GEORGE: Salsa is now the number one condiment in America.
Technically, tomato is a fruit…
And who here has not ordered the roast duck with the mango salsa??
Or were you not particularly hungry???

My wife doesn’t do well with raw tomatoes so we usually try to find other fruit based salsa Pineapple, mango and peach salsa without tomatoes work well. We also get tomatillo salsa as well, she seems to be able to handle that.
RNG poster had the correct response.
I have usually just swapped tanks just like with propane. Sure, if you have an emotional tie to your tank, it’s going to be more work to go get it refilled and keep it certified.
I picked up used tanks a long while back, no idea what a rental charge looks like. But is a good point to note that you can buy a new tank and just end up with a crusty used one after the swap.
I’m looking at the Robot Lawn mowers.
This one I think I am going to buy during the flash sales:
I have a robot lawn mower. I never succeeded in setting it up. Running the around the property, and around every tree, etc., was a huge job, squirrels kept chewing it apart, and now I can’t even find where the wire is broken, but it says it’s broken somewhere.
if your lawn is much simpler than mine, it might be great.
I just bought a case of Triple Crown BBQ sauce.
