Marinated eggs are also pretty easy to make with a few purchases that will go a long way (mirin, dark soy sauce). And you can reuse the marinade for a few weeks to make multiple batches, too.

I like peanut butter sesame noodles. I might try some peanut butter ramen…maybe add some gochujang, rice vinegar, sesame oil… that could be good.

Landscaping starts soon, going to need some grass seed. Spent $180 on five pounds of buffalo grass seed, pretty spicy. But very low maintenance, so it’s worth it. I think.
Ramen is something that can be either great or nasty depending on the skill of the preparer. Also, some types of ramen are very salty and starch heavy, but that’s not always. I got to really like ramen in the Navy in Japan where they make it with skill and fresh ingredients.

New washer and dryer: Samsung. 
Washer died; the old (now-passed) cat had peed inside both machines. 
- Docking port for my bedroom for the laptop, so I can watch TV and play online poker.
- Laptop stand for both of my laptops. Just switch back and forth between work and personal by just replacing the cord from one laptop the the next.
- Car cover for our current older car, which will now be in the elements. Part of the seat is already a bit wrinkly because of it. I plan on driving it only two consecutive days a week, and using the EV nearly exclusively.

My garage door opener remote has been flaky recently even with a new battery. Plus my daughter has never had a remote. So I bought two new remotes. And some spare earbuds just because they were on sale.
i stopped using mine.
i didnt like leaving it in the car ( we don’t park in the garage) and someone could access my house if the got in the car.
I carried it out from the house for a while, but accidentally openned the garage a couple of times.

I replaced our openers in the last year… the drive cables were dry rotted and failing, and cost $50 to replace while a new opener $120. Wifi, battery backup, and a lot quieter. Easy job if you are mildly handy.
Yes, locking the car parked in the driveway so somebody can’t access the remote garage opener is a step I almost forgot sometimes. The added complication is that I sometimes leave the car keys in my pocket, then sometime later I have to do something in the front yard which triggers the car to unlock and I don’t notice it unlocking.
my car texts me when it is left unlocked
Someone broke into my prior car (stole some change, no other damage), when I swore I locked it.
Makes me paranoid. Mine doesn’t unlock on proximity.
