I am going to buy this (these) today and reasons why

Tough crowd. Yes, I like audio, and when I want good sound I’ve got it. I like having a small, portable speaker on hand. For the porch, I’ve got wind noise and traffic noise, and I’m not going to set up my porch furniture so I have one comfortable chair right in the sweet spot for audio. I also use the current one when I’m working around the house, like when I’m painting a room. Or if we are hanging out on the porch with friends, I just want some ambient music on at a low volume. I’ve honestly been reasonably happy with my Beats one, but the battery isn’t great after a dozen years, and it’s the smallest one they made so it only plays down to 100-150Hz, I’d love a little more bass.

Bose is on a lot of ‘best of’ lists, I’ll add it to my list of potential buys.

I bought this out of boredom, curiosity and horror…

:redcard:

I’ll give them a 3 out of 5. They tasted better than expected, but that was a low bar. Felt expensive for what I got. Too much waste. Spiciness was there, but not overwhelming.

Lol. TIL. I was wondering if KD was a reference to Kraft Dinner, which is what my mom referred to Kraft mac & cheeze as. That made me wonder why (old) people called it Kraft Dinner, which led me to finding out it remained branded as Kraft Dinner and then was shortened to KD in Canada.

I like basic ramen and recently bought some fancier ones in a carton and they weren’t worth it.

I’m not buying it of course just made me chuckle

I don’t see any of the little red peppers like on the box.:man_shrugging:

I think the idea is that the person making the ramen would add those in. I’ve made a few packages of ramen in my days, and I’ve never seen toppings that big.

Oh yeah, there’s the fine print: “Suggested serving”. Sneaky beggars…

Good to know. Ive got some lotus ramen i need to use up. Im going to try a peanut butter ramen recipe with it this weekend.

For me, the game changer for ramen was adding a six minute egg. Chili crisp is also pretty nice!

On my GLP program, I’m thinking to add sardines, vegetables and thai seasoning paste. I have not used ramen much for many years (since I was in the Navy) but am thinking to get back into it. I just bought a multi-pack of kernal corn single serving packages as one vegetable that I can add. Other possibilities, green beans, fajita chilies, green peppers.

All right, all of you naysayers. I had it narrowed down to Bose and JBL for my new portable speaker. Then I saw some good reviews of the Anker Soundcore Boom 2 (stupid name, yeah). And it’s $110 on Amazon but Woot has it today for $70. Sold.
