I am going to buy this (these) today and reasons why

I had a corded-snowblower for my MN-1st-ring-suburb driveway (two cars wide, 2.5 cars long). It worked surprisingly well. It wasn’t powerful enough to cut through the snow plow residue at the end of the driveway, but that’s 'cuz it was small, not necessarily because it was electric.

took me way too long. I did it, went back today to try to make the deal.

They didn’t bite. :disappointed_relieved: basically said since most of the cards are so new, they’re not really priced right yet so they would consider them “bulk” and not give an individual price.

So I basically got 5x decks for a 30% discount over current price, based on what you could get them for on Amazon right now. Not a bad deal, if I really wanted those sets. Which I don’t. So I’m gonna take them apart and smush them back together differently to get different results!

I just have 2 of the batteries. Usually one battery gets the whole yard, but if it’s spring and there is some tall grass the mower has to power through or when I am doing leaves in the fall I need 2 batteries. I switch which battery I load first into mine each time I use it.

If I had a farm I would want a tractor. I think it would be so fun messing around with a tractor LOL

And I should clarify, when I say big batteries, I don’t mean car batteries. They’re just those battery packs that work on cordless tools.

My neighbors are getting divorced and are selling their $5,000 lawnmower for $1,700 in order to clean up their belongings and sell the house.

Sorry guys, but yeah I’ll take that.

I’m going to have to ask meep about this one.

Yep, that was me a few years ago. Paid about $5K for a riding lawnmower, spouse wants to move back to town, sold if for like $2000 or a bit less. THing was brand new. Oh well, c’est la vie.

Yeah, there’s a lot of hauling the mower around trees and balancing it on angles, and if I’m nearly done, I’m tired. I have mown lawns that are mostly flat, and that’s kinda just walking behind the mower. That’s not what i have. I have a weight-bearing workout. If the mower runs out of gas, i just put it away, i don’t add more gas. There’s absolutely no way I’m going to mess with batteries at that point. Until i can find something that reliably muted the whole lawn on one charge, i ain’t going there.

don’t they have a lawn mower roomba yet?

hire human roombas

They do. They are a bitch to set up. I actually have one in my basement, and i keep meaning to try to set it up. I finally laid the guide wires last year, but they are already cut in a couple of places (probably rabbits) and I need to splice it.

Yep, neighbor has one. But I’m not surprised to hear that they’re hard to set up.

I pass by a company that has 3 of them mowing most weekends. I always imagine there being a lawnmower combat competition going on, but I’ve never seen them close to each other.

Now that I think about it, I suppose the lawn is partitioned so each mower gets its own area.

I bought a charcuterie board over the weekend.

Pics or ban, imo.

The lawn mower roomba or the charcuterie board?
