They shut down our city’s coal generator, and somewhat anecdotally, our air quality index seems to average about 10-20 points lower.
Spring has finally arrived. Took the scooter out for lunch today, biked yesterday, might bike this afternoon! No rain in the forecast all week and highs in the 60s to low 80s.
We got 4 more inches of snow in the valleys with 1-2 feet in the mountains and this is supposed to happen again tonight and tomorrow night. At my house the snow is usually gone by late afternoon, but still, it would be nice to see some spring type weather.
But the happy thought is that the drought level is going down significantly.
Same exact thing happened in 2008… the opposing players carried the girl around the remaining bases she hadn’t yet tagged so she could get her home run.
Ninjaed, Deja vu or didn’t this happen a few years ago?
Yep, 2008 Western Oregon Sara Tucholsky. Interestingly my google search brought up another one of these situations. Nice to know sportsmanship still exists.

I ordered fabric online about a week ago, to make my husband a quilt (he’s been whining about it for SO LONG that I have made a quilt for everyone else, even though he thinks even a sheet is too warm to sleep with). I checked the order status today, still not shipped, then not 30 seconds later I got the email that it had shipped. It’s going to be a nice looking quilt!
made a batch of chili over the weekend and then today brought the leftovers in for the cow-workers. got several compliments, including a request for the recipe and an “A+”.
I ordered some Cheshire cheese by mail, because my local cheese shop no longer carries it. It just arrived! I can have cheese and matzo for lunch this week.
I finally figured out how to silence notifications, including badges (which has always been the most irritating part for me), on my work email and IM phone apps, and set a schedule for them to automatically turn back on during work hours.
Oh I need to figure out that limited hours thing. I think I have mine set where I see a little number. That’s easier to ignore than badges.
I have a stomach full of Thai food.
