I dropped my son off at the airport this aft. We were talking about Alaska weather etc, he said they’re already at 18 hours of daylight.
Haha, I did think of that. However, it makes for an easy commute both to and from work, as I’m out of there by 1:30pm at the latest. I do WFH part of the time (those hours are flexible), but commute days are early.
Mrs f came home today after 6 days visiting our older kid. Its good to have her home
Ohhh, is that why the whole crowd was singing the other night? That is nice then. Although I think hockey in general, but especially in Buffalo being a border town, has always had a tradition of being kind to both anthems.
Most NHL teams have both Canadians and Americans on their teams so booing the anthems is a bit disrespectful to your own team. And border towns like Buffalo and Detroit get a lot of Canadian fans at their games.
Sorry that our leader is shit. Us Western NYers are generally good eggs though.
Last night in Lima so we are hitting up a Cevicheria in Miraflores for some delicious tiraditos and ceviche. The little one has turned out to be a big fan of tiraditos.
Very impressed with local cuisine so far. Also tried many different types of pisco, which have been surprisingly good.
You and I have different definitions of ‘cool.’ lol
OK, this is a new term to me. Sounds amazing!
Its a pretty bougie word lol.
Maybe a bit of bias showing, Mr Langostino.

I love trying new food, even if I don’t like the food lol. We are so fortunate to have pretty much the entire world in terms of food here locally.
So, yeah I’m down. Next time you’re down this way, my treat.
Operation calorie control is starting to work, Initially I’ve been limiting myself to about 2500 calories a day and I’m down about 4-5 pounds this month (to 223). Measured bowls of cereal in the morning are 400-500 calories, not 750-1000.
I went for a walk the other day when it was super sunny. Along the way, there was a guy walking a big, white, fluffy dog. The dog just stopped shy of the curb and sat on the road looking at me. When I caught up, doggo got up because it was waiting for me!! Of course, some attenshuns and skritchy skratchies followed!! ![]()
I’m at sbux when a couple of elementary school girls sit by me and start running down a list of math to review. When the first girl said “Probability?”, the other girl replied, “I love probability!” There is hope!!! ![]()
