Yeah me too. Hopefully quite a bit, I think there’s a huge market for it.
I know it’s made a world of difference in my life. My food habits and weight loss are like a normal person’s now. I’ve dropped a lot of weight so I’m not going to be dead at 70. And it’s gotten me to a level where I can exercise - which I do, quite a bit. So the exercise is now the main driver of my weight loss. And I’m not dealing with hunger every day. it’s a miracle drug.
Happy there are good people to counteract bad ones.

Scored some recently released but hard to find gluten free Cheez Its this morning. They were on sale and had a coupon affixed to the box.
That triggers my own happy thought.
For Christmas, I asked my cousin what her granddaughter wanted for Christmas. She said her list had two items: Cheez-Its and world peace. We got her half of the things on her list (and a gift my cousin suggested).
Got a coupon in the mail: 20% off everything at Perkins, use it as many times as you want in 2026.
We have some local joints we like, but they’ve gotten so popular it’s a 45-75 minute wait. Some days I just want to wake up and have some eggs without a bunch of hassle, this will do.

Loved this story about the local record shop owner who returned a long lost Beatles Decca audition tape to Paul McCartney. Kudos to him for not trying to monetize the tape and to McCartney for the generous manner in which he received the gift. Such class is rare these days.
Crazy weather, it was 56° F in northeast Kansas. Took the bike out for a nice 40 minute ride. Not a lot of biking weather here in January!
We are supposed to hit that temperature in Vancouver tomorrow under sunny skies. It may well be my only bike riding day here this January as we head to Mexico on Wednesday. Will probably see some bike time there though if we find some safe roads.
Some papers claiming our bodies are full of microplastics are probably wrong
Had the paramed over yesterday. My BP was good for someone 20 years younger than me lol. And I already know my sugar and cholesterol is great as well. Pretty happy, because many men my age are on drugs for one or both of them. And I don’t even pay attention to diet (I do exercise pretty ruthlessly though, more than any of my friends except 1).
An awesome sound, that loud belly laugh from your kids or grandkids. where there not just laughing, but their whole body is laughing.
I get to be Drake professor for a day on 1/26 while my bridge partner and raving Seattle Seahawks fan Toby heads back for another playoff game this coming weekend. First class of the semester no less! I’ve taught classes there in the past occasionally including this one (Exam P) so no big deal.
No pile of emails awaiting me clued me in that there was something wrong this morning. I was thinking server failure, but after a minute realized I hadn’t added this year’s holidays to my calendar and MLK Day had been added to the list.
Two happy thoughts on my trip today. The KC airport is pretty new, and the restroom situation is loads better, they have some gender neutral ones with large stalls and doors that go to the floor. Small wins.
And Southwest now has free WiFi, at least on this flight. It was $6 ($8 if you don’t have a SW credit card) and I always pad out of pocket for it.
Do you have a need for a gender neutral restroom? Or a need for doors to reach the floor?
