I did that thing where I left my (brand new, this time) phone on the car and drove with it there again, but this time it was a couple miles through a downpour. A tight new case seemed to keep it amazingly dry and so dried it and I never bothered to turn it off.
But the happy surprise was that a few hours later, my phone actually sent me a notification saying that my USB port had now dried and it was ok to use it. Awesome.
Foster son is grounded from his electronics, so we thought this weekend would suck. For him, but also for us.
But all three kids have gotten off their screens for the whole weekend to play together, and it’s sweet to see them all getting along. The oldest doesn’t leave his room much these days, and until a few weeks ago, the youngest didn’t like to play games that weren’t of his origination (the Zoloft is helping).
At a store that I frequent, there is a cashier that is one of the grumpiest individuals I’ve been around. My limited interactions with her have always included her grumbling about something, so much so that I have to avoid laughing because she’s such a caricature.
During my last visit she was on her schtick again with the customer in front of me. She looks at one of his items, and says “Plant chicken, that’s stupid. There’s no such thing as plant chicken. It’s either plants or it’s chicken.” She pauses for a moment to read the label, then says “this is plants. Stupid.”
How is this happy thoughts then? First I was amused by her, but the surprising part was that then she was very pleasant to me for the first time ever. Asked about my day, wanted to know more about my dog, no grumbling at all…
They’re not my usual brand, but my husband just loves them and probably won’t buy other brands anymore. I’ve only had them for two hours, but so far I like them.
