Congrats! Lol, that’s why I don’t play lotteries.

When I was about twenty, I matched 5 of six numbers. It paid like 100.

How much have you spent on the lottery in your lifetime and how much have you won?

He may need to answer in a different thread.

fwiw, I get more than $2 of enjoyment every time I spend $2 on a lottery ticket, but, yes, I’ve spent, well, perhaps, it’s in the thousands of dollars in my lifetime, and have won definitely less than $100. (I usually only play Powerball, MegaMillions, and (Minnesota) Gopher5 - the ones where your odds are worse than anything else, but the top prize is bigger than anything else.)

I’ve been getting a lot of :heart:s on my posts this weekend. The endorphins - they’re flying like n-dolphins, where n is an element of the positive integers.

Oh, another one. My local utility is working to test out how batteries might tie into the grid. They are rolling out a pilot program, you get a 16kWh battery for free, the only cost is $10/mo for two years. The catch is that the utility company controls when the battery charges and discharges.

After two years you can either buy the battery at ‘the depreciated cost’ (no $$$ given), ask them to come remove it (free), or keep it for free if they can continue choosing when and how it operates.

I assume they are interested in charging it at night and discharging during the day to flatten peak demand, so unless they are doing something crazy I’d be inclined to take the last option.

Are there any charges on the electricity going to/coming from the battery?
