GOP and the Big Lie

Based on what I have read, nothing.

You should tell her that Minneapolis is just one city in Minnesota.

And that the Mayo Clinic is in Rochester, 90 minutes to the Southwest.

It’s just kind of a point that people really have a hard scaling what they see on the news and being able to tell what is true or not.

Reports of how Trump was trying to use the Justice Department to overturn the election:

GA SoS Raffensberger was officially censured at the GA GOP convention

Party of Law and Order Censures party official upholding law and order. That checks out.

WOW. That was an emotional suplex.

I thought, “It makes way more sense to censure Kemp given 2018, but I guess a governor is a bigger fish so maybe they didn’t want to…”

They censured him for not being corrupt? The hell?

He should have found the votes Trump requested when asked.

29% of Republicans believe Trump will be reinstated as President this year according to a poll from Politico

In fairness 29% of Republicans (or Democrats for that matter) probably believe a whole host of scary things

In normal times I’d believe that’s true of “at least one of a collection of scary things”, but probably not “one specific scary thing”.

29% is a lot.

And this is why the behavior of Donald Trump, The GOP leadership, Fox News and other media with regard to The Big Lie is the single greatest threat facing the USA since the Confederate Traitors started a war for slavery.

Good news: The base percentage of Deplorables is dropping. Used to be 50%.

This could easily still be a subset of deplorables. I mean - it’s certainly made up entirely of deplorables, but there could be deplorables that don’t believe this crap.

True.
So, there are some that are less deplorable than others, but still deplorable on a number of other subjects.

29% of Republicans who are ~30% of voters is in line with the polls that say 9% believe in QANON.

In a recent Gallup poll, that’s the exact % (29%) of Democrats who believe people should strive to lead their normal lives (vs stay home as much as possible).

Scary.

Some of those really are depressing.

Sun around the earth… lottery a retirement strategy… 9/11 inside job… astrology…

And I want to know the people who believe telepathy but conclude the rest of the stuff is just BS

People do believe a lot of foolish things. However, no one is storming the Capitol or plotting insurrection based on their beliefs in Bigfoot or astrology.
