I don’t know if that’s a winning strategy. Trump is still out whining at every single appearance about the stolen 2020 election, and I think most people except some 30% of the US who are diehard MAGA have realized it’s bullshit.
Harris may touch on this, but doesn’t need to seriously open up that can of worms. Let Grandpa Donald whine about 2020 while Harris and Walz focus on the future of the country.
January 6th would be a better topic to hit him on. While 2020 was clearly not stolen, there’s been enough mud thrown into the process that wading back into it is just a mess. January 6th was a much simpler event to hammer on. MAGAs like my MIL staunchly believe that it was a peaceful tour where people were arrested for political reasons after the FBI instigated violence, but most people saw it for what it was.

The insurrection was the worst of it, but in all we had to live through 5 years straight of endless childish bullshit.
I suppose most people just tune it out or don’t care, but I found it exhausting.

Rudy Giuliani texted the wrong number as he tried to persuade Michigan legislators to help overthrow the 2020 election.
“So I need you to pass a joint resolution from the legislature that states the election is in dispute, there’s an ongoing investigation by the legislature, and the Electors sent by Governor Whitmer are not the official electors of the state of Michigan and do not fall within the Safe Harbor deadline under Michigan law,” Giuliani wrote.
Prosecutors said Giuliani failed to send the message because “he put the wrong number into his phone,” prosecutors wrote.
I wonder if that was around the same time he booked the Four Seasons Total Landscaping (between the sex shop and the crematorium) for the press conference?

Always have to wonder how many of these dweebs actually believe their drivel, or are just saying the words because they’re going to prison anyway and “in for a penny, in for a pound.”
No reason to go to prison just to get out in 2033 and be shunned as the apostate who recanted their faith in Trump.
