nope. i think many people feel as i do. it’s just not everyone feels like arguing. but the number of people who do is pretty high.
I am no Trump supporter. I didn’t vote for him and I think he is an idiot. I don’t think he won the election, and I think that the impeachment should have been successful.
But I think people like you are part of the problem today. You think that if someone disagrees with you then they are an idiot. There’s may too much of that on both sides, too much discourse and a lack of finding common ground.
it’s impossible to find common ground with these people. you either ignore it or you don’t. once you engage, there is no common ground.
how do you “find common ground” with someone whose opening post includes the word “libtard” or some version of that?
For starter, stay above the fray.
So when you run up against people whose views you cannot change, you feel the need to create discourse by trying to change their minds?
Alturism
you hope you can change their minds, and sometimes you might make them think a little, but nobody will ever admit it if you change their minds, so you won’t know the result of the argument.
I’ve had my mind changed before in an argument on the ao.
Someone who throws an insult around like that is not worth engaging. But be careful about your own stance. Sometimes you might think you are the exact opposite of someone else, but you really might be the mirror image.
Ima gonna send ao_fan a FB friend request…
you know who i am?
I have my people on it. ![]()
still not seeing a friend request taps paw
I’m creating my FB Alt now…
Also, if I sent it right now, you’d know who I was.
For example if “Brad Galloway” sent you a friend request right now, you 'd be like, I bet that’s BG5150 and reject it or just leave it hanging.
you’re creating an alt to send me a friend request? of course i’d reject that. that’s creepy. if you’re gonna friend me, you got to do it with your real name.
i don’t accept friend requests from complete strangers, so if some random guy named brad galloway sent me a friend request, i’d reject it for being a complete stranger, not for being BG5150
Not if I do it right. I’m going to have to amass a friends list and achieve my bona fides on all the correct liberal pages. And castigate folks on the proper right-wing pages.
if your name is brad galloway and it’s not fake, i’d consider accepting it.
um, you’re gonna put effort into your fake name just to get me to accept a friend request and somehow that’s less creepy?
FTR, my name is NOT Brad Galloway. That guy sounds like a tool. Could be very nice though.
Plus, my guys still have some legwork to do to find you.
