people bragging on facebook that they got the vaccine, when you are pretty sure they don’t actually qualify. all they get are likes and loves and congrats. i wanna know UH WHY? i’m holding back from asking though.
anyway, this bragging annoys me.

- not an essential worker
so, why?

there is actually a long list of conditions here that qualify, so i guess it’s possible this person has one of them. i think it’s in poor taste to vaccine brag on facebook, particularly when it isn’t obvious why you are eligible and if you’re really eligible. i think it’s in poor taste either way though when others can’t get an appointment who might be more worthy than you.
If someone was eligible for the vaccine, why would they be less “worthy” than someone else?
If they said “ao_fan is now eligible for the vaccine b/c she has a bum leg” would you hold off until everyone who was more"worthy" gets it?
because other people have conditions that might put them more at risk. i just find it in poor taste to brag on fb.

People might have underlying medical conditions. Or have second jobs that are essential. Or be caregivers for people with underlying conditions. Or be in the right place at the right time to get a leftover dose.
