Yeah, but it’s pretty silly to get out of a group to “protest” one random stupid post. i could maybe understand if the group became her own little place to send out stupid shit. But it was one post.

I didnt claim rage. I claimed they had zero interest in her trying to make money off them. As i said, even 7 years later had she said something even remotely relevant to anything other than her pathetic attempt to make money people probably would have responded rather than flat out quit

If these people really saw value in the group, they wouldn’t just drop out. They would contact the moderator and ask him or her to tell this chick to stop posting irrelevant stuff. Or, just ignore it. Seems better than just quitting the group.
Again, my guess it that the people forgot about this group and were remined of it when the woman made her post. Then they quit.

and AGAIN it wasn’t a “group”. it was a private message. there is also a group associated with it that she also posted her inane garbage in. they probably didn’t see that though. 1 of the 3 is no longer in that group. no idea what prompted him to leave that because you don’t get notification when someone leaves a group, just a DM exchange.
You would need to ask them. Neither you nor I know the answer for sure. We both a putting forth plausible scenarios.

But people don’t leave because they are uninterested in just one post.
you don’t seem to really have a point here. her marketing tactic is a massive failure as it resulted in people leaving the DM. not sure what your point even is anymore other than to argue.
Might help the business to merge the pages
I don’t “friend” coworkers or other actuaries on facebook. I first made that decision when a friend posted a lot of photos of topless drunk guys at parties. And the photos were all visible to friends of friends, and I realized that I didn’t want the department admin to see those on my page. And that I cared more about keeping in touch (on Facebook) with the guy who posted those photos, than with people I saw every day at work anyway.
So I unfriended the few coworkers I had already friended (this was soon after I started using facebook, so I didn’t have a lot of facebook friends, yet) and have basically followed that rule ever since.
