Is this a dedicated edger and not a string trimmer? Why not just use the trimmer? That’s all that my neighbors lawn service use to get a nice edge along the sidewalks.
I’ll admit my results don’t look as nice because I don’t spend a lot of effort trying. An edger would be"easier" but would seem to increase overall effort, which I could get for free with the trimmer just spending a bit more time at it.

I could not agree more. My mother is an early childhood development specialist and she said it’s actually not good for the kids to have all of these kindergarten graduation and 6th grade graduation and such. I don’t think I could do justice to her explanation of why; I just remember her saying that it’s not appropriate and is just something schools do to make parents happy.
