Democrats Say the Darndest Things!

Wow… we had… nothing remotely like that. Although one time five Bengals came to the school and played a basketball game against the varsity boys basketball team (which was one of the best in Cincinnati at the time).

I think any other outsiders we had at assemblies were in some way educational or safety-related. Like the MADD folks who came in right before prom to let us know that drinking & driving is bad. Or the guy from the zoo who brought several animals.

Weren’t these two events the same thing?
I hope those tigers were somewhat tame, and took charges well.

Hehe, I think he did bring a Bengal tiger, actually. But only one. And no, I meant the NFL players. Jim Breech, the starting kicker, was one of them. I don’t recall who the other 4 were but Breech was certainly the biggest star of the 5 of them.

No need to Ohiosplain to me, twig!

And apparently they still do stuff like that. Joe Mixon was at my nephews’ school this spring. Pretty cool as they are massive Bengals fans.

Genocide of the white race as a Democratic talking point is new to me.

This is the Democrats Say the Darndest Things thread. You’re welcome to make a Democratic talking point thread if you want.

When I said this one, I was thinking about specific instances on twitter like the recent mayomonkeysgottago hashtag or this one:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-pennsylvania-professor/pennsylvania-professor-under-fire-for-white-genocide-tweet-idUSKBN14F154

Oh look, NYC’s favorite mayor is also a fan of drag queen story time. At least he’s honest and admits it’s not about entertainment, it’s about educating the children:

https://twitter.com/NYCMayor/status/1537578910317166592

In a country where movie studios omit people smoking cigarettes in movies because of the impression it might leave on children, I find Eric Adams’ comments here interesting.

Please note “democrats” who say things like that usually face consequences of some sort, not just go on about their day

And, again “one person blatantly calling for a “white genocide”” falls into the mother-in-law category. As does a Drexel prof who has a wikipedia page that focuses just on his tweet.

Republican.

I’m this case my expectation would have turned out being wrong.

The others Democrat, but most of those are pretty tame ideological differences instead of south end of a north bound bat stuff.

To be fair there are unstable people on both sides who might try to kill a politician or judge. Whether it is more likely to be a Democrat or Republican depends a lot on which side is in power.

True. If I hear something about a gun I am more likely to assume right wing, although I would be wrong fairly often.

There was that kidnapping plot of Gretchen Whitmer that had a whole bakers dozen of nutjobs working together.

The guy who called 911 on himself should just be considered a mental health issue like your every day mass shooter.

I see nothing at all wrong with what is being advocated for here

I think yiu are just showing your own offensiveness

With respect to genocide against the white race we have someone trying to commit genocide against a particular white nationality and you imply that it is a mistake applying economic sanctions because without them we would be paying $2.50 a gallon for gas.

When he registered to vote in 2022, he did not affiliate with a political party, according to records reviewed by the Times.

With respect to the Kavanaugh stalker I would have been wrong if I had answered Democrat.

Well, my school also had daily chapel for 25 minutes, they did a lot of things that weren’t financially sound nor helpful to our education. On Wednesdays they brought in guest speakers that weren’t a pastor.

I think the shoe guy was autistic, or he had some mental issue. He gave us a lecture on how to be positive in life because he was able to succeed despite his issues. I distinctly remember, every left shoe he bought was lavender and every right shoe was red so he could remember which was left and right (L and R).

I left the presentation quite confused about the point. The hypnotist had no relation to anything religion or self-improvement, he was just what he was. Same with the clowns. Who knows.

I’m pretty sure I’m sending my kids to public school when they’re of age, or at least non-parochial school.

“Fetuses do not matter.” Hmm, perhaps this is one reason that radical progressives so vehemently rejected the idea of all lives matter. Because to them not all lives matter… since, uh fetuses are alive but don’t live according to this nutjob leftist:

Fetuses do not matter

In light of the overturning of Roe v Wade today I feel the need to educate anybody who foolishly supports the ruling.

Fetuses do not matter. The only things in this world that are remotely worth caring about the lives of are sentient beings. We don’t care about rocks, flowers, fungi, cancer cultures, sperm, egg cells, or anything of the sort. But we care about cats, dogs, birds, fish, cows, pigs, and people. Why? Because animals have brains, they see the world and feel emotion and think about things and have goals and dreams and desires. They LIVE. Flowers and fungi are alive, but they don’t LIVE.

Fetuses don’t live. They’re human, they’re alive, but they don’t live until their brains start working enough to create consciousness. Until that happens there is no reason to give a fuck whether they’re aborted or not, unless you’re an aspiring parent who wants to have your child specifically. Nothing is lost if you go through your life abstinent and all your sperm or eggs never get fertilized and conceive the person that they could conceive if you bred. Nothing is lost if you use contraceptives to prevent conception. And nothing is lost if you abort a fetus. In every case, a living person just doesn’t happen. Whether it happens at the foot of the conveyor belt or midway through the conveyor belt, it’s totally irrelevant because a living person only appears at the end of the conveyor belt.

Anybody who thinks life begins at conception is misguided. Anybody who cares about the unborn is ridiculous. And anybody who wanted women to have their rights to their bodily autonomy stripped away for the sake of unliving cell clusters is abominable.

Protest and vote out all Republicans.

Edit: Wow, didn’t expect to see so many mouthbreathing, evil people on r/self. This is going on mute.

Democrats and economics, like oil and water, don’t mix.

This was a while ago, but Jeffrey Bezos had a good retort:

Interesting choice of words from Biden earlier this month to AFL-CIO members, with a worryingly angry tone:

“I don’t want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending. We’re changing people’s lives!”
