My place had pre-filled syringes. And separate tables labeled by vaccine they were giving out. I carried a color coded piece of paper saying which one i was supposed to get.
Feel pretty good next day, pretty much back to 100%. Symptoms for me were bad, but seemed to last just around 24 hours, starting about 12 hours after the shot.
And now that itās two days past Iām fine. If i rub the spot where i was jabbed itās still a little sensitive, but i wouldnāt notice it if i werenāt looking for that.
My arm is still tender, but only if I raise my arm above my head, or if my dog puts his bony elbow directly on it
he gets to take naps with me, but that also means he lays his body across mine to do so, and heās got the boniest elbows on the planet.
First shot 36 hours ago. Pfizer. Sore arm yesterday, but not bad. Back to normal today.
People who menstruate:
Has anyone experienced an abnormal change in their cycles post-vax (e.g. earlier or heavier than normal (for you))?
Seeing comments on social media about it recently, and this article: Can COVID vaccines impact periods? Experts discuss
Wondering if any of you have had similar experiences?
I no longer menstruate, but Iām certain it would have affected my period, because essentially anything that involved stress or relief thereof used to affect my period. I was always a little jealous of people who could count the days to predict their next period
The knock on wood didnāt fully work. 24 hours after shot started to get achy. No fever/chills, but every single joint in my body hurt to move. By the time I woke up the next day I felt back to normal.
Yeah, i felt enough better the next day that i decided the generalized achiness must have been a vaccine reaction. It was all the places i usually ache, and nothing notable on its own, but the timing is awfully suspicious.
My joints hurt about 18 hours after the second Pfizer. Got the general achey muscles at 24 hours. Then around 30 hours I got mild chills and felt a fever coming on. Thatās when I took a Tylenol, and went to bed 36 hours after the second dose for the night, work up normal.
I think I already said this here, but maybe it was elsewhere. If I had woken up feeling that way any other day, it wouldnāt have been very noticeable and I would have just brushed it off as a reason to stay in bed and have a lazy day. I was highly aware of what my body was doing because Iād gotten the shot, of course, so I noticed it.
I got the Sputnik vaccination and had a compulsion to hide under my desk, with my head down and my hands covering my head.
checks with audrea
no, within the realm of normal for me, but my range of normal for me at my advanced age is pretty wide to begin with.
this is hard to pinpoint when i was having joint issues pre vaccine, but since those joint issues were all exactly where they were pre-vaccine and nothing on the other side, iām confident the vaccine had no part in it.
Itās probably just publication bias but this thread has me really nervous about my Pfizer #1 on Tuesday.
i heard of others who had barely any side effects at all. you could be one of those people. seems unpredictable.
Well, if I have a hard time after the first shot, Iāll know I had a prior natural infection and just didnāt know it. Iām more worried about the 2nd shot. The earliest I can get it would be a Tuesday but I think I might want to get #2 on the next Friday so I have the weekend. But I also want to be fully vaxxed ASAP. Dunno.
Hope you feel better soon. Iāll not soon forget that misery.
Sorry youāre not getting a lot of response. I have a Mirena, so I canāt help you.
Opposite. Got vaccine on day 20 and had a 40 day cycle. Iām usually closer to 25 days. I didnāt blame it on the shot tho, bc Iām past the average age for menopause and my body just does whatever it wants to spite me.
Mine was 25 days the month of the shot so nothing weird at all for me
