Covid 19 Vaccine Side Effects Thread

I still have this 6 weeks out from 1st Pfizer dose in March as well. It is improving…I think…but still there.

remind me, those of you who are having these severe reactions to the vaccine, have you had covid?

this sounds really scary, and tbh, a reason to avoid the vaccine. brain fog was a long-term issue from the virus itself that scared me the most, so if you’re just getting it from the vaccine, that’s awful.

I have not. At least not that I’m aware. I’ve tested negative on a few occasions, but could have been an asymptomatic carrier at some point maybe.

Getting Moderna #2 tomorrow at 11:00. Optimistically scheduled a tee time Friday at 3:30. We’ll see if I make it to the 1st hole…

I THINK J&J THREW ME INTO PERI-MENOPAUSE. I’M SUING!

You do realize, I assume, that vaccine manufacturers are completely shielded from any liability for any adverse reactions (including death or peri-menopause)?

i’m sorta kinda joking about J&J being to blame for this rather than my elderly age, but I don’t know for sure that J&J is NOT to blame for this.

My Pfizer #2 was yesterday and the side effects are basically the same. Soreness around the injection site and serious exhaustion. I slept in this morning, not sure if I’d be able to function, but now that I’m up and out of bed, I feel better. After a strong cup of coffee, I’ll probably leave the realm of the zombie.

Glad to hear you seem to be coping alright. Did it hit you more quickly? A friend from work described round 2 as being a lot faster.

Yup, sure did. After #1, they showed up after 24 hours. This time, at about 18 hours. The soreness in my arm is more intense but the exhaustion is about the same (although I did sleep through most of it first time)

20 hours post #2. I feel like I got hit by a truck. Every muscle in my body hurts. Woke up about 2am and didn’t sleep well the rest of the night.

Need a big recovery to be able to golf tomorrow.

You know, I’ve been feeling like I’ve been in a brain fog most of this week. Never dawned on me that it might be vaccine-related.

I had Pfizer #2 in mid-April.

Did you have many effects from the first? Fingers crossed on golf

From the 1st my arm was pretty sore and my joints started hurting after about 24 hours (for about 12 hours). I didn’t get muscle soreness/chills/fever/tired.

Also I had Covid over Thanksgiving, so not sure how that is playing into all of this.

Oh interesting… I thought I might have had COVID, although I’m not quite sure… but I got chills/fever/struggle sleeping after about 24 hours of round 1. I’m hoping round 2 will be better but who knows haha

Hoping you’ll feel better tomorrow.

I’ve been feeling mysteriously healthier since my second dose. I attribute it to more sunshine, but hey, maybe it’s the vaccine.

Well I’ve kind of been eating like crap the last few days and not getting a lot of sleep (which often goes hand-in-hand with eating like crap) so that’s more likely why I’ve been in a fog than the vaccine. I need to get to the store for some fresh food but I’m busy at work. Guess I should splurge on some healthy take-out.

Maybe less anxiety?

Maybe all the extra proteins your body is making now?

There probably is an element of “less anxiety”, as well as the increase in sunlight. I really have had more energy and felt healthier since getting vaccinated.
