For the American audience, 38C is 100.4F and paracetamol is Tylenol.
Most people are actudonks hereā¦
I think simple math and a google search is easy enough for them.
You ask too much ![]()
Fair enough. But I was today years old when I learned the UK has a different word for Acetaminophen than the US. Which is embarrassing because I can follow Cockney rhyming slang (more or less).
This spurred a Google, which yielded:
" Paracetamol is the recommended international non-proprietary name,4 the British approved name,4 and the name used for the substance throughout the world outside the United States."
So the correct name is acetaminophen, got it
I was round 1 Moderna vaccinated about 17.5 hours ago and so far only side effect is a sore arm, fingers crossed it stays that way.
Pfizer #1 for me . . . worse symptoms occurred from day 8 to day 12 post shot. Severe, hacking cough and excessive phlegm production, similar to what happened to me in Nov 2019. Not quite the same degree as back then, but pretty close (this time, I could actually get to sleep if I kept my core temp elevated).
Day 14 saw things getting back to normal with day 17 (today) seeing me being about what I was like pre-shot.
a week later, is it possible you were just sick?
Ended up having a pretty meaningful fever last night and trouble sleeping (so ~30 hours from injection) but feeling mostly better now⦠fingers crossed round 2 is less eventful
Possibly, but it would be a very unusual case.
Well, had a bit of a weird day.
Had to take my wife to the ER at 3am as a precautionary measure because she seemed to have symptoms of VITT (Vaccine-Induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia) around her abdomen (back pain, abdominal pain, vomiting). She was still in the risk window after her 2nd dose (4 - 28 days) of AZ.
She turned out to be ok. The ER doc and nurses were very professional, and it does seem to appear they are now taking VITT seriously (they had a pre-set battery of tests for the issue now) here in the UK now that the incidence rates of this rare side effect have been increasing.
Itās a pretty weird reaction to the vaccine, though. Like⦠not one thatās listed in the studies Iāve read. Not one listed by the CDC.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/expect/after.html
I think itās much more likely that you caught some bug, possibly even covid, than that what you describe is a vaccine reaction.
so NEWS story on the people missing the 2nd vaccine. They interview one guy who said he had a sever headache since the first shot, so didnāt want the 2nd.
Idiot, if you have headache for a month see a doctor. Not everything that happens is vaccine related.

Whether itās vaccine-related or not, a month-long headache should prompt a visit to oneās doctor.
Absolutely!
29 hours past shot two. Sore arm is starting to feel better, no other effects.
With the first one I felt lower energy than typical on a run 36 hours later, so maybe effects still to come.
My wife got her Moderna shot 2 yesterday and said she didnāt get the light headed feeling this time that she got with the first. And her arm didnāt feel like it did with the first. She went to work in the afternoon and this morning said she has been having all the rest of the same things she had with the first shot.
Slightly elevated temp 100.2, aches and pains, headache and some others things. She went to work today (the day after) just like with the first, mostly because she felt mostly OK and didnāt want to use a sick day. Last time she ended up calling in sick on Sunday. We will see what happens this time.
Got my first shot (Pfizer) on the weekend!!! Injection site is a little tender and sore, but no effects other than that!!!

I am going to blame both having covid (June 2020) and getting the shot (feb 2021) on a few things:
1.) I still have a lack of taste and smell. All meat tastes the same (chicken, beef, ham, etcā¦). This effect increased after I got the shot
2.) My sweat smells sour - again, got worse after the shot
3.) Brain fog sets in from time to time and I cannot focus well. This came up after the shot
I also had my thyroid removed in Nov 2020. This could also have been onset from having covid. So still blaming covid on everything.
Brain fog sets in
I think this describes a reaction my wife had to the vaccine. Itās been 2 months since her second dose, and sheās finally doing better.
