Yeah how far am I willing to for for principles? Will I deny myself a tasty chicken sandwich?

Eh, it’s an American chain. Probably not missing much. We tried Popeye’s and white castle in the state’s years ago. Meh.

Popeyes must come from a location in the hood. The suburb locations are sub-par.

White Castle must also be located in a seedy area. In addition, it should be between 1am and 3 am, and you should be drunk.

I’ma bit fussy about location too when it comes to Starbucks (although I haven’t tried Starbucks in the hood). I prefer Starbucks from a standalone store rather than in a mall or supermarket. Airport Starbucks is acceptable.

Coffee is gross from wherever.

Go buy a 7-11 coffee for Missus Bee Gee.

I already did this morning. I probably do it 300 mornings a year

I like Starbucks coffee. I only buy it on very rare occasions (5 or 6 times per year) because it’s too expensive, but if someone else is paying I’ll take a latte or Americano please.

Costco coffee is made by Starbucks so I drink that pretty much every day. I’m not a fan of coffee at Starbucks.

The SOA Health meeting was just in Seattle. I visited the first STBX…(I had coffee from a different place though). Just wanted the pix of me in front of it.

Wow, generalize much?
That is some shit food. Or will be, very soon.
I generally bypass all chains, as the people who work there don’t care if I come back or not. With a local joint, there is a chance. Yes, I am saying there is a chance.

Payton Oswalt (I think) had a joke about wanting to go to Arby’s but not knowing where they stand on gay marriage.

With CFA it seems pretty clear that they financially support groups that I disagree with. So I do avoid them nearly always, but it is a damn good sandwich and I do cave and go once or twice a year. Sigh.

Does CFA have franchises? I mean, a particular franchise owner might not have the same values as the founder.

Regardless, one of my girlfriends likes to meet for lunch there, and there’s a location roughly halfway between us, so I probably have lunch there every other month or so. I don’t seek it out otherwise, but oh yeah, it really is good.

I was surprised that when my ex started a new job and they invited spouses to an event to go over stuff like benefits, they served us Chik-Fil-A for lunch. I would have thought they’d steer away from the controversy. But everyone just inhaled it. Southern-headquartered company, so perhaps a less woke culture in the C-Suite than in the Northwest where I spent much of my adult life, but I was surprised nonetheless.

My gf got some CFA and saved me some in the hotel bar fridge. It was OK; it may have lost something in the refrigeration. :man_shrugging:

Ok, in America’s defence, there’s NYC. My gawd I’d be 900 lbs if I lived there. Everything from street food to fine dining is out of this world.

New Yorkers walk a lot more than the average American, so there’s an offsetting factor.

CFA is changing though. Better late than never?
