Bridge: Up for a challenge?

thek won the JD with a score of 60.4%, by 6%. Four completed. Regular challenge reissued.

It seems this may have expired without me playing or finishing. If anyone wants to report the results, please do. I’ll reissue the JD.

oirg won with +15.50, the only positive score. Only 3 played even one board, and those 3 completed all.

Think I missed the last one, sorry.

In a good representation of how my bridge is these days, I had two hands of note in the just issued challenge (which I have finished). One of which I thought I was in 4S, but I was in 3NT. The second I successfully planned and implemented a strip squeeze.

It is not uncommon for me to think we are in a spade contract when it is NT.

Back when I played in person, if I was dummy for a no trump contract, I always put a suit I thought we were relatively short in on the left to minimize the chance of that error. Too bad one can’t do that online

sw won the JD with a score of 64%, by 6.5%. Five completed. Regular challenge reissued.

I had just started playing the regular challenge and it disappeared when I was playing. So I reissued the JD.

I won the regular challenge with +4.67, by 0.50. 4 finished

NN won the declare only with 69.79%, the only positive score. That’s the highest score in 2026 (as far back as I looked), and wouldn’t surprise me if the highest we’ve seen. 4 competed. Regular challenge issued

Baffled. I thought it had been, but I couldn’t find it tonight. So I issued a new one. It exists, at least now. I played the first 2 boards.

You did. But it might have expired. I had just finished the JD and issued a regular challenge as well. Just a few minutes before you did. So now we have double regular challenges.

If you (or anyone) completed the first one before it expired, if that’s what happened to it, you could publish the results.

I don’t see any of the old results anymore. Not sure why. But on the JD, there were two winners with 56%.

YMMV, but if you look on your History tab (as opposed to Messages tab), they are likely there. On the History tab, you have to choose “Recent Tournaments” at the top to see them. Screenshot just now from my desktop

Note that “History” is third from top on the right, and “Recent Tournaments” is rightmost at the top

I won one of the challenges with +16.75, by 10. NN won the other with +27.25, the only positive score. One regular challenge reissued.
