Bridge: Up for a challenge?

I win the declare-only with 54.69%, by 3.91%. Reissued

I win the regular challenge with +18.25, by 2.75. I lose to AA by 7. Both reissued

Protip: if the contract is 4 hearts, do not play to make 3NT. That is all.

Lose by 7 to procrastinator. Another very close match vs NN, a 13-13 tie. Last 5 matches vs NN have been 0, -1, 0, -2, +4. Both reissued

:swear: timed out during the declare-only challenge. Thought I was doing OK. Reissued

procrastinator wins the regular challenge with +20.50, by 10.00. I time out, roughly at board 11, vs AA. Both reissued

What a blunder! Lose by 5 to procrastinator when I threw away a vul game trying for an overtrick. Win by 21 vs NN. Both of those reissued.

I win the declare-only with 57.03%, by 3.12%. Won despite the 0% in that absurd 4S contract in a 3-3 fit. Will be reissued tomorrow evening.

I win the regular challenge with +32.50, by 12.25. I beat AA by 16. Both reissued

I beat procrastinator by 15 and lose to NN by 30. Just timed out on me during the declare-only (Fortunately? I think I had been doing OK on the completed boards, but had chosen an unfortunate line on the board in progress.)

All three reissued.

:sigh: Timed out on me pretty early in the regular challenge, and I didn’t even start the challenge against AA. Both reissued. Hopefully I play them.

I win the declare-only with 58.59% by 3.12%. I beat procrastinator by 16 and NN by 2. All reissued. Ending time around 1:24 pm eastern time Jan 7.. Internet issues kept me from reissuing them last night

I win the regular challenge with +18.00, by 16 25. I did not complete the challenge va AA. Not my fault for a change. Kept having internet connections problems, even though I would have easily had time to finish if internet were working. Both reissued

Continuing internet connection issues, so may not be able to even start the challenge against NN. NN wins the declare-only with 56.25%, by 3.91%. I beat procrastinator by 3. Both reissued, with a time limit that will end in morning, eastern time

Lose to NN by 1. Will reissue this evening if internet working then, otherwise tomorrow

Oirg wins the regular challenge with +13.75, by 11.00. I lose to AA by 27. Both of these and vs NN reissued

I lose to procrastinator by 24. Pro tip: passing partner’s splinter instead of returning to your 10-card major suit fit usually costs imps (and did here). Failed to complete matches vs NN and AA (think I didn’t even start AA) due to internet connection problems, even though I was trying to sign on more than once with plenty of time.

Procrastinator wins the declare-only with 59.38%, by 3.91%.

Regular group challenge and vs procrastinator reissued. Will issue more 2-ways only as I complete 2-ways, so the rest of you will be less affected by my internet issues. If I can’t complete a group challenge, I don’t see any results for it, but the rest of you can see all the boards you played and see results vs others.

Win by 4 vs procrastinator. 2-way vs NN and declare-only reissued

I win the regular challenge with +6.75, by 4.50. I lose to NN by 13. Regular challenge and vs AA reissued

Procrastinator wins the declare-only with 60.16%, by 3.91%. Likely to be reissued tomorrow

Is it worth getting some BBO$? What are BBO points? Not sure I’m looking to spend more time on the site, but it has me curious.

BBO$ are useful only if you want to play in some of their on-line tournaments (including some ACBL-games) or want to rent robots. One online event I’ve been playing recently is their “country vs country” challenge, 32 boards with robots the first Mon-Tue-Wed of each month. Only costs .1 BBO$ (10 cents), but you can’t buy less than $5 (or maybe it’s less than 10 BBO dollars). That challenge does award some BBO master points, but those points don’t mean much.

If you want to challenge someone to a 2-way match with advanced robots, that’s .49 BBO$ (49 cents), regardless of the number of boards in the match (but matches can’t be more than 16 boards).

Got it. So BBO Master Points aren’t something worth measuring myself on to see how many, if any, I could get?

What I’ve wanted to do was to play me and a live partner against two bots. Is that an option anywhere (including outside of BBO)?
