Accident on the highway backed up traffic for a bit: fluffhead on a motorcycle decided to take the shoulder.
Annoyed Thought from a couple days ago: while I appreciate people’s enthusiasm for the zipper merge, a roundabout is NOT an appropriate place to try it out. You must yield to the cars already in the roundabout!!!
My gf and I were out for an evening walk. I see a motorcycle coming up to the 3-way stop: buddy is making no attempt to slow down and blasts through the stop sign!! Mr. Cool has one of those skull face covers on and I just give him the “You dumb*** ************!!!” look. Not that he gave a flying ****.
Earlier in the day, we were on the sbux patio. This sbux is by a fairly busy road that has a 60 km/h limit. These 2 fluffheads must have been doing at least 90 km/h racing each other!!!
Holy : I just saw my neighbour tear out of her driveway yet again!! And her kids and grandkids have been visiting this weekend!!!
Maybe that’s why.
I’m driving in a plaza parking lot when some car cuts across my front end!!! if I had been going a little faster, she would have clipped me!!!
You should cross-post this to the Insignificant Signals thread
Multiple annoyed thoughts yesterday:
Saw a guy blow through a stop sign with a cop sitting nearby that did nothing.
Saw another guy put his car in reverse and start backing up without looking, nearly running over the person helping deliver kegs right behind them.
Was waiting in a parking lot aisle for the car in front of me. Lady needed 3 tries to get her car into a standard parking space, reversing slowly and carefully each time. Wound up being crooked in the space anyway.
Fry ‘em!
I am in a line up of cars behind a stopped school bus. Second car ahead of me does a u-turn; 10 seconds later, the bus moves.
About 3 months ago, our one-side neighbor’s mom was visiting. Other-side neighbor recently moved in and let their little yappy dog run all around the cul-de-sac. Annoying, but I only caught it shitting in our lawn once so it’s no big deal.
Well, first neighbor’s mom tears out of the driveway, hits the dog that was fully 200 feet off its property, breaks its leg. It ends up being put down.
New dog shows up a week later, another little yappy dog. It stays on a leash. Not glad about the deceased dog, but happy that it wasn’t a neighbor’s kid since they often play out on the circle too.
2:52 p.m.: I am caught behind some fluffhead making a left to get to the Costco (left turns prohibited between 3:00 and 8:00, as stated above) There’s a ******in’ advanced green at the next intersection!!! FFluffsakes!!!
Never heard this term but it means what I thought it meant. Fluff head for sure. Just for safety’s sake, you use green arrow.
Saw some douchenozzle turn the wrong way down a one way street. Many people were yelling at him as he did it, along wirh horns blowing. He immediately sped up and started weaving between cars. He did make it to the next intersection where he turned.
Hey, it always seems to work in the movies.
I was stopped at an intersection waiting to turn right where there was someone waiting to cross the street when the walk sign activated. The walk sign lit up when the light turned green, but since I’d been paying attention, I waited for the person to clear the crosswalk for the lane I was turning in. Car behind me laid on the horn. Hopefully they figured out why I hesitated.
On a related note, last week I was the pedestrian in a similar situation but the right turning driver wasn’t paying attention or didn’t care and came within about a foot of hitting me.
Had a left arrow earlier, but the arrow was burned out leaving just the green circle. Had no idea until the oncoming traffic stopped. Wasted about 6 seconds before making my left.
My lead-foot neighbour went slowly out of her driveway just now. Might be because I am on the front porch and I watched her the whole time.
With your camcorder?
Nope, just with my two peepers and possibly a slight frown.
