I watched a guy make a U-turn IN FRONT OF A BIG POLICE STATION and WITH A CRUISER AT THE INTERSECTION!!! 
Was there a No U-Turn sign? U-turns are legal and extremely common in my neck of the woods.

There is a keep right of the traffic island sign, so buddy went right to the end of the traffic island and made his u turn. Teh googooz tells me it is technically allowed in most circumstances, but I was taught in driver’s ed many, many moons ago not to do it.
I have seen legal u turn lanes in SoCal!!! 
Some a-hole in front of me on Saturday 1) thinks about getting into the left turn lane at a lighted intersection 2) chooses not to after slowing down 3) hits his brakes just after the intersection median ends after crossing through the intersection to get into the left turn area (I assumed they were going into the lot at the far corner of the intersection), 4) slows down more in the thru lane (so right in front of me) and 5) makes a u-turn going back the other way.
All of that was to avoid making a left at the light, which would have required waiting for a green arrow.
I’m driving south down X Road that leads right to the highway on ramp. There’s a car in the right turn only lane that is signaling left for my lane. Oh, OK, buddy made a bit of a mistake, so I let him in. As we are entering the on ramp, buddy makes a u turn that puts him going north on the off ramp!!! WTF, buddy???

Driving on quiet highway last night, had 2 cars going 55 that decided to accelerate back up to a reasonable speed when I started to pass them.

I had a car this morning going 49 MPH in the left lane pacing a car going 49 MPH in the right lane. Speed limit is 60 MPH.
The car in the right lane was stuck behind a truck going up a hill and so couldn’t go much faster but there was no one in front of the car in the left lane.

I notice that a lot. Only they’re more like going 40 in a 55 zone (WTF!!!). Once I pass them, they seem to have no trouble keeping up…

Seems you are simply reminding them of the speed limit and they start complying.
Another reason why I like my car and not some refrigerator: when I pass someone, it won’t matter how quickly they respond; I’m gonna get ahead of them. I will often see the same car pass me later, and I could care less and often do, at an epsilon level given a delta.
The alternative is the long horn toot, and that is not often appreciated.
My gf and I were just out for a walk. We watched a lady blast through the 3-way stop.

Earlier in the day, I watched buddy going about 10 kmh over the limit, pop into the left turn lane for a highway on ramp, but then pass the guy that was ahead of him in the straightahead lane.
Some fluffhead in a Benz passed a couple of feet from my left front bumper on the highway- from the LEFT LANE!!!

I saw a guy driving a pick up truck with his left foot out the window. At a red light he spit out a wad of chewing tobacco with a string of spit hanging off his lip clinging to the door. I bet he gets lots of women.
Wasn’t that the main character in My Left Foot?

There were all sorts of people trying to get in and out of the likker store parking lot. Rather than get caught up in the carnage, I turned the opposite way to get out of the mall.

Some lady came racing out of a back driveway from the shopping plaza: I thought she was gonna clip the front end of my car. And this is not the first time this has happened at this plaza!!!
ETA: She actually came to a stop at the last microsecond at the curb.

this post is counter to the thread title. Had all the makings…
my neighborhood is a grid. stop signs are usually 2-way. i was cruising on the road and did NOT have the stop sign at the next intersection I was approaching. car was approaching with a stop sign. I slowed but entered the intersection and was able to come to a stop before hitting the other car. other car realized they had f’d up, stopped abruptly, and backed up out of the way.
i smiled and waved. no harm done and they were reminded that they had the stop sign.
