Evidence is required to convict, or at least usually it still is.

Trump et al have alleged mortgage fraud now against a number of his critics, and charged none of them. They have talked about a number of people mishandling classified information, and only gotten a search warrant for Bolton. Evidence, or a lack thereof, still is an obstacle.
I mean “discovery” in the sense of legal teams gathering documents for trial purposes. Not what we might discover as a result of a public trial.
IE:
If she did do this thing, how did she know to do it? Who told her? Who else have they told? What other connections does that advisor have to other advisors to members of congress or other political offices? Etc. Simply not having to ask those questions, even in a closed legal setting, is a deterrent.
I would definitely sue Trump for this one.

Yep. That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw Pulte was behind this. The article says reporters should file FOIA requests. That’s a good idea, but the answer will probably be that this happened without anybody communicating with anybody.
This is precisely what happens when you parachute these people into sensitive regional positions and they have zero diplomatic skills.

A U.S. judge on Thursday ruled that Alina Habba, a former personal lawyer to President Donald Trump, was unlawfully appointed as the acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey and is therefore ineligible to participate in any ongoing cases. The ruling is a setback for Trump’s Justice Department, which maneuvered to keep Habba in her post and circumvent a judicial decision not to extend her 120-day interim tenure.
The department is using similar tactics to evade judicial intervention and temporarily keep at least three other U.S. attorneys aligned with Trump in their roles.
Brann wrote that Habba’s actions since July 1 “may be declared void, including her approval of the indictment of Defendant Cesar Humberto Pina,” though that fact does not require its dismissal.
“Prosecutors wield enormous power, and with that comes the responsibility to ensure they are qualified and properly appointed," Abbe David Lowell and Gerald Krovatin, attorneys for Pina, said in a statement.
The ruling is likely to spur similar legal challenges and could bring hundreds of federal criminal cases in New Jersey to a halt.
He likely knows where a lot of skeletons are, having been the White House drug dealer.
Unsurprising he gets a kickback from the regime.

Can he fire Patel? I mean, he was the one, who after writing a book about the Epstein files, decided there was nothing to see in them. Now that he has actually seen them, more likely he gets killed than fired.

[FBI Director Kash] Patel, appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, said there is, “no credible information, none” that Epstein “trafficked to other individuals.”
If there was such evidence, Patel emphasized, “I would bring the case yesterday.”
Patel is toeing the line until the end. Now we’re to the point of “Maxwell and Epstein only did crimes between themselves and involved nobody else, despite all the evidence.”
Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., asked Patel whether Trump is on the list.
“The index has been released and the index will speak for itself,” Patel said, referring to the FBI records released on the Epstein investigation.
“I’m gonna say, ‘America, this is a huge red flag,” Lieu said. “The FBI director could not answer whether Donald Trump was on Epstein’s client list.”
