“They are not migrants. They are not ‘undocumented.’ They are an invading army. The largest invasion in American history,” one post stated in May 2023. “And what are you supposed to do with an invading army? Crush it, by any means necessary. That’s the #AmericaFirst way.”
As usual, Susan Collins will wait to see whether her vote is needed to get to 50 to pass before deciding how she’ll vote.
Lisa Murkowski will as well, because she’s become the Alaskan Susan Collins.

SCOTUS, when saying earlier this year that Trump could fire independent agency people, explicitly said that their argument did not apply to the Fed board members. (Dissent went further and said that the Humphrey’s Executor decision, back in 1935, said that Trump can’t fire independent agency heads.)

The administration is claiming this termination was with cause (contrary to thr prior dismissals), which is legal under the statute. What is possibly contestable is whether the alleged act constitutes cause.
This will definitely go to the SC as “for cause” is not really defined.
Plus, she has not been charged so its a moot point right now.
We the government are alleging you committed mortgage fraud, but are not leveling any charges. Based on that, the government is terminating you for cause, because you allegedly committed fraud.

Wow, I am surprised they aren’t pressing charges.
If the evidence was illegally obtained they would not be able to press charges.
So it looks like they are trying to pressure her to quit with threats and bluster.
Charges lead to (legal) discovery, which leads to…well…discovery. I’m guessing they don’t actually want the latter.
Well, if there were any administration qualified to identify fraud on loan applications, it would be Dear Leader’s administration.
