This should allow most of the nominees to get through. Or all of them. But certainly not only some of them, cuz Republicans.

I would say this accolade would make him insufferable but he already is.
Unfortunately, that sort of acknowledgement is watered down by the magazine’s own statement that the individual winning a Presidential election is usually selected.

Our Athlete of the Year was Summer McIntosh and that news was a much happier acknowledgment than Time’s Man of the Year. I bet some babies will be named Summer in the coming years as a result. I don’t see Donald getting popular here as a name for boys though.
She single-handedly made the WNBA semi-relevant (and semi-lucrative) again. So I’m semi-puzzled that her detractors hate her so much.

It’s the US, so the answer is pretty much always racism.
I don’t see people hating Caitlin Clark individually, but rather her fans. Some people feel that she gets more attention than equally talented historical players have gotten because she is white. Others feel that Clark is disrespected because she is white and would have gotten more chances and respect from her peers were she black.
Mainly a linear combination of “reverse racism” and envy as far as I can tell.
It’s a fun new era of “mock and threaten our closest allies”.
Just looked at a few global opinion rankings of the US. Looks like they all agree that the world is at or around their lowest all-time approval of the US (going back to about the 60s), only roughly tied with approximately 2004-2008.

It was wrong for Justin Trudeau to say he supported Kamala over Trump even given the context. I think it was intentional though as he knows it is not hard to annoy thin-skinned folks like Musk and Trump. I am sure Trudeau is chuckling to himself over the reaction he got from Musk.
I just wish more US politicians would stand up to Trump.
