All the President's Men

What is up with Trump’s nominees and family pets? Not going to rehash the Kristi Noem stuff, but here’s Pam Bondi:

How many Gaetzes in a Scaramucci?

That’s gotta be a negative number right?

If you mean they are both bad, but Gaetz is worse, then that’s a fraction, not a negative.

Scaramucci was the comm director for 10 days. Gaetz was just a nominee for 8 days. Negative could have a place in that relationship.

Yeah, so -4/5 I guess

And yeah, Gaetz is a way worse pick than mooch, so by that metric it’s like -a billion

It’s an older article, but as he’s been nominated I’m gonna post it anyways:

A top aide to US President Donald Trump who recently defended the administration’s omission of Jews from a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement has on several occasions worn insignia tied to Nazi collaborators in Hungary.

Sebastian Gorka, a former editor at Breitbart News and now a deputy assistant to the president, was photographed and interviewed at Trump’s inauguration wearing the uniform and medal of Vitézi Rend, a Hungarian order of merit closely associated with Nazi Germany.

The order was founded in 1920 by Miklós Horthy, who served as regent of Hungary until 1944, and comprised his supporters. Horthy was an ally of Adolf Hitler and collaborated with the Nazis throughout most of World War II. During the war, confiscated Jewish property was distributed to members of the order by the Hungarian government.

I’m discussing time units here

I wonder how many gaetz Hegseth will be around.

Same as the ratio of leprechauns to unicorns.

Gorka couldn’t get a security clearance last time. Gabbard should have problems too. I wonder how that’s going to play:

  1. Trump packs FBI leadership with toadies who will rubberstamp whatever nominees he wants regardless of security concerns.
  2. Trump gets the GOP in Congress to arrange a long recess, and he uses recess to pack in nominees that won’t pass muster.
  3. Senate shows some backbone on the unqualified nominees.

I’m guessing it’s almost certainly not 3.

Remember that Trump ordered that Jared Kushner be given security clearance.

Jared kushner is one of the smartest sons in law I know. Treats the daughter so well the FIL would risk it for him.

I think the first question you should be asking is “will security clearances matter?”

I am not sure why king Trump would care.

  1. Trump simply grants security clearance on his own.
