LAD will have to score 10 every game, unless they change the mentality of some of their sitting starters to relievers, and quickly.

Didn’t then move Roki to the pen and won’t they add Kershaw to the pen for next round?

I mean last night they were up 10-2 when Roberts went to the back end of his pen. I mean if you can’t bring a guy in to protect an 8 run lead, he probably shouldn’t be on your roster.

1 of 4 so far, so I had to change a couple in what I want to happen in the next round:

Sea def Det
Tor def NY

Phi def LA
Mil def Chi

I’ve gone from mostly underdogs to mostly (all?) favorites.

Looks like NY (-150) and LA (-125) both favorites

Toronto has dominated the season series, but then again so did Boston. Yankees are the hotter team right now, and 5 days rest is not always a good thing in baseball. Bullpen and fielding always make me nervous with the Yankees, but Toronto is middle of the pack in both areas.

One thing Toronto does very well is put the ball in play, this should test the Yankees fielding acumen.

And their analytics team with placement of said fielders.

Toronto does two things well. Not strike out and play good defense.

I expect the Yankees will win: Jays missing Bichette.

The weather looks great for today’s game. Should be almost 80 F and sunny. That may confound the US sports announcers as they probably brought their woolies for the games in Canada.

If they are US announcers they would probably bring a beanie instead.

The only Wooly I know is this guy

That’s a big loss but they have been missing him for a bit and still held on for division.

Bassit and Berrios left off as injuries and Scherzer a healthy scratch from the roster due to old age and performance suckage.

I don’t know who Toronto would throw in G4 if it gets there, Gausman, Bieber and Yesavage are lined up for 1-3. I think 4 would be short rest if they bring back Gausman. But 5 is normal rest for G1 or G2 starter should it get there due to the odd mid series off day for Tv schedule

Brewers jump all over cubs, up 9-1 after 2. One rewer batter had 3 hits (but left w an injury). Since then everyone looks like they just want the game over

i guess they would do a bullpen game for 4

I was in the car, listening on the radio. The announcers talked for almost a full inning about Lou Boudreau, and what a nice guy he was, and his phenomenal performance in a one game playoff, and how he was an assistant basketball coach at IL in the off season, etc. It was actually pretty funny, because it felt just like the broadcast of a meaningless game in the middle of the season.

Oh, and also how Joaquin Andujar talked about how one word summed up baseball: “You never know”.

10-1 2nd blowout of the day. All Jays north of the border.

The Yanks score was a bit misleading. It was pretty tense in the stands when the Yankees loaded the bases in the 6th with none out and trailing 2-0. Gausman then struck out Judge and the Jays escaped the inning with only giving up a run. That was the turning point imo. The Jays added 4 runs in each of the 7th and 8th inning to turn it into a blowout.

It was the loudest Jays crowd I have ever been in in all my years of attending their games. The Yankees are a special opposition.

And today he started his first MLB playoff game. 11 strikeouts and no hits in five innings of work. Wow!
