They just need someone who knows how clocks work.

The Chiefs and Ravens thought so, the Steelers and Texans, not so much.

Fixed.

Whole family goes over to my Aunt/Uncle’s on Xmas. They’ve always played a Christmas Story in the background all day but this year was NFL instead. I’m guessing a lot of people did this. To be fair, nobody spent much time actively watching the games.

My Uncle ended up going to the Bears game last night. We thought about it but didn’t end up going. So glad we opted not to. Cold and rainy is worse than straight up brutal cold imo.

What a Dick…erson.

The delicate egos some people have.

Unless he breaks it this weekend, it’s a moot point anyway.

Cuz…?

i thought his comments were totally fine. he appreciates what barkley is doing, doesn’t care about 17 vs 16. just has pride and enjoys his time at the top and acknowledges that it will someday fall but he isn’t rooting for it to happen in any specific timeframe.

that’s the 17 vs 16. so fun must go back to jim brown or OJ as the real record holders?

Meh. It’s a record. Pete Rose has the most hits in MLB, but his batting average is relatively shitty.

There might be other, more meaningful NFL Football League records, such as:

Rushing yards per game.
Rushing yards per carry, minimum X number of carries.
Total yards per game.
Total yards per touch.

i agree. no time for the asterisks.

i was interpreting funemployed’s comment about the record needing to be broken this weekend. i could be wrong.

It is either “17 games = asterisk,” or PHI will shut him down for meaningless Week 18 if they’re smart."

After LA Chargers-New England was an utter dud, Denver-Cincinnati for a playoff spot has been a playoff-quality game complete with OT.

All the games since Sunday have been duds until the Denver-Cincinnati one: it was fun. Happy to see Bengals finally win.

I am not happy, since a Denver win would’ve eliminated Miami. :expressionless_face:

The only team I care about in the AFC is Buffalo.

Normally I would think The Bengals have a chance to get into the playoffs with the Broncos playing the chiefs next week. However I don’t see why the chiefs would give much of an effort.

I just want Buffalo to be the only AFC East team in the playoffs. :man_tipping_hand:t2:

Just learned that today was the first time in franchise history that the Bengals have scored an offensive OT touchdown. They had a pick six once, but never an offensive TD until today.

Regular season OT has been a thing since 1974. Not sure when it changed from sudden death to current rules or if there were other iterations of weird OT rules.

Yeah, unfortunately this is probably correct. Unless someone’s got some stats they want to pad or something. But the Bengals chances of making the post season are pretty slim.
