Falcons and Eagles are under investigation for tampering. Based on what I’ve read, I’d be surprised if ATL didn’t get at least a slap on the wrist

I feel like Carolina has signed an entire team’s worth of FA this week. Really crazy to watch. But I guess that’s what happens when you mortgage your draft future for a QB… :joy:

Fixed.

Sources – Chargers dealing Keenan Allen to Bears for 4th-rounder - ESPN

:exploding_head: :exploding_head: :exploding_head:

the chargers had a pretty miserable cap position. nearly everyone with a big contract was possibly getting moved or cut

vikings accumulate another 1st round pick. Now picking 11th and 23rd. which actually means they are armed to package them to move up I guess.

Aaron Donald retires.

I’m gonna guess this is merely a work stoppage. He’ll stay in shape, just not come to camp, play in the first ten games or so, then get re-signed or simply take the prorated salary and play for the Rams again.
I’m not being cynical about it. It seems like a great career strategy late in one’s career. Training Camp, at least what I see on “Hard Knocks,” sucks. The end of the season is where it gets hard after so many games, plus those fucking Thursdays with little rest.
And this way, The Rams can open a roster spot and wait until someone gets injured to bring him back and not pay him until they do.

Bears probably realized the top 3 WRs will be off the board by the 9th pick. I like the addition of Keenan Allen but they’re down to only 4 picks now.

He runs mediocre routes.

He doesn’t get open enough.

He doesn’t catch the ball enough when he is targeted.

He had a single 100 yard season when the Bears forced the ball his way 140 times, but his production didn’t ramp up when they got a legit WR1 to get the best corners off of him.

But maybe his play is elevated by a better QB in Cousins. Perhaps, but $13M is a big gamble on him.

Not to mention, how Moody he is

I guess we’ll know what Moody’s rate is for a while

That’s a Damn you auto correct moment.

Looks like Da Bears traded Fields to the Steelers.

Poor guy, he was pretty much learning all that and more on his own in Chicago.

Buried the lede: Bears got a 6th round pick next year.

Good situation for PIT. Was hoping Seattle would have spent a 6. With 3 good WRs and Walker Fields could flourish. Wilson has to lead and perform now.

I am really shocked and saddened at the compensation the Bears got for Fields. I think it would have been better to let him come to camp in street clothes and try to barter him for a better draft pick to whomever has a QB go down early to injury.

Allegedly Fields rejected trade offers from 4 teams, so perhaps CHI had better offers.

Seems fishy. He’s on a rookie contract. I don’t think he can reject offers. “No Trade Clauses” are only on free agent contracts and perhaps contract extensions, or so I thought.

Perhaps Poles was allowing Fields to have some say in the deal, but that would have not been a contractual thing, just the kindness of heart from Poles. If that’s the case. I would think it’s a good idea to register the domain name. FIRERYANPOLES.COM
