I would take the figures from the OTC guy as accurate.

they could have franchised him for yr 5 and then again for yr 6. and it would have been cheaper. But then the Qb could have sat out waiting for an extension. and when he returned they’d have seen he was terrible and gotten off the ride faster with less dead money.

funny timing, since Cleveland just played a very enjoyable Thursday night game

A stupid team could pick him up and pay his contract.
The other 25 or so teams can wait until he clears waivers or wait until the draft for someone not yet proven to be a bust.
$108M and a currently-working brain seems like a good time for a career change.

and Chargers were very lucky against Bengals last week.

there are no teams THAT stupid right now to think “we are daniel jones away from ” unless you fill it in w “a better draft pick”. But even then…$14M this year and the risk of $23M guaranteed for injury next year if he gets hurt. no way

Maybe some owner whom the NYG owners have dirt on.

“Your game is so bad, it can’t even be shown on TNF!!”

Didn’t think they’d actually do it, since stadiums these days are often booked up solid. SoFi is apparently available, and LAC have a home game the Sunday before, so no radical field changes need to be made.

Sounds like something Kelly Kapoor would say .

I don’t talk trash; I talk smack. They’re totally different. Trash talk is all hypothetical like ‘You mama so fat’s she could eat the internet.’ Smack talk is happening like right now, like ‘You’re ugly and I know it for a fact cause I got the evidence right there.’

The end of the noon games is what Redzone is all about. Exciting finishes for MIN-CHI, DAL-WAS, TEN-HOU and most surprisingly KC-CAR. Bears keep giving me hope only to end with a swift kick in the junk.

I learned a long time ago to dismiss all such hope

“Refused/Return to Sender”

This guy understands:

Barkley signed a three-year, $38 million free agent contract with the Eagles following six seasons with the New York Giants. The No. 2 pick in the 2018 draft made a pair of Pro Bowls in New York but has never played behind this caliber of offensive line or with as many playmakers as he has in Philadelphia. He has been quick to credit his teammates for playing a major role in his success.

Wow. I wasn’t sure if there were other weird ways for the bears to lose last minute and but there you go

I can’t imagine what the Bears were thinking with that clock management. They would have been better to kick the field goal on first down, we’d almost certainly be watching OT now.

Bears gonna leave Eberflus in DET after that one

I also had my phone autocorrect Eberflus to Uber flush, which is nice

Bears don’t fire HCs mid-season. Never have, never will.

We need the McCaskey’s to die before anything will ever change. Hopefully soon.

I was thinking about this more. At this point, we expect Eberflus to be an idiot. What worries me more is that Caleb didn’t think to call the timeout. I"ve never seen anyone run off that much time in a situation like that.

They need someone more detached to understand simple things like “there is no time to waste” to communicate to the sideline.

And, he doubles down, cuz that’s the fuh-baw way:

I liked this bit of error from ESPN:

Upon getting the ball back at Detroit’s 1-yard line with 3:31 to play, the Bears ran 13 plays before facing second-and-20 from the Lions’ 35-yard line.

To be fair, the Bears are very capable of pulling that off

Eberflus out. I still think it would have been better if they just left him in DET after that.
