The nantz and romo call of it in real time was amazing. No restraint in calling out the malpractice.

It seemed like a pretty safe statement.

I’m wondering if there would have been any difference if he had just said “Oops. I screwed up. That’s completely on me.” instead of the we didn’t do anything wrong and we’d do it again in the same situation.

It is very strange that they waited until after this morning’s zoom press conference to announce the decision.

So, what in the actual was that Raiders-Thiefs ending??

A crushing mishap.

Silent count. Hurrying. Center snapped ball while qb wasnt ready (wrs were not set). But it wasnt a false start (would hsve just been a penalty) but instead was illegal formstion (bc wrs not set). Fumbled snap recovered by kc, of course.

Luckiest team

I think they call it a “fumble”

This. I don’t have stats in front of me or anything, but, it feels like KC has been more lucky than good this season. (Plus the whole refs are in the tank for them thing, like with that :ox::poop: pass interference that set up the go-ahead FG.)

It will all catch up with them in the playoffs

I didn’t even know there was a game today. :football: they usually mention that sort of thing multiple times on the other broadcasts. I must’ve missed it. :man_shrugging:

Yes, after Sunday Night Football on Thursday night, naturally the next game was Thursday Night Football on Friday afternoon.

Reminds me of a 1980s commercial where the network was explaining changes to the broadcast schedule…they said something along the lines of “The Monday Night Movie is moving to Tuesday.”

I’m guessing Black Friday football is a thing bc of media contracts

As expected, the announcers were comparing the Raiders to the Bears’ performance in their final drive, so it was kind of ironic when it ended the way it did.

Sure… it’s just ludicrous that they actually name it “Sunday Night Football” when it’s on a Thursday.

Obviously if NBC gets the rights to a Thursday game they’re going to use the Sunday night crew. I fully expect to see Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth. But they don’t have to bill it as “Sunday Night Football”.

think of it as the name of a show.

If Saturday Night Live has a Thursday special, it is still Saturday Night Live

Ohh. Yeah, that is odd. (We were on the road during kickoff of it so we missed it )

Like the 2020 Olympics held in 2021.

Well that was at least unplanned and I’m guessing that it was too late to fully change.

They were originally scheduled for summer 2020 and Covid shutdowns in the U.S. started in March 2020. I’m guessing medals saying 2020 were already made and probably much much much more was too late to change without considerable additional expense.

It’s not like they planned on having the “2020 Olympics” in 2021… that was a literal emergency. Whereas they always planned on having “Sunday Night Football” on Thursday.

Is this an actual thing?

I would think it would be “Thanksgiving Special with the cast from Saturday Night Live” or something like that.
