I picked them to easily win the division, which they still might do.

Eh, Iā€™d like to think sheā€™s not that shallow.

But even if she isā€¦ despite yesterdayā€™s loss, the Chiefs still have a better record than the Bills.

Itā€™s kind of a shame the Jets and Cowboys donā€™t play this year, because I think theyā€™d play each other to a 9-9 tie (TDs for both teams) and the game would be fascinatingly ugly.

Do you really think it would be that high scoring?

The thought of not drafting and paying RBs is coming to an end. Mixon, Henry and Barkley all have track record of touching ball 2-3x more than next person on their teams. None is breaking bank and all are contributing far more than cap hit. Money going to WRs is ridiculous.

Aiyuk got 30m and has never had 80 catches or over 8 TDs. Higgins is looking for that. Calvin Ridley got $50m guaranteed. Teams chasing the WRs that donā€™t pay off struggle more than paying the RB.

I couldnā€™t see the SF game in my area. Didnā€™t realize that SEA didnā€™t score at all until Bosa went down.

I mean the offense should have scored more than they did, but COME ON. REALLY? My team cannot catch a break (other than the injury type) this year.

You mean didnā€™t score a TD. It was always a one score game.

Whoa, the actual deciders of games getting credit!

Each team kicks a field goal. Team A throws a pick-6, Team B fumbles deep in its own territory and Team A needs 8 chances to punch it in from the 1 (4 downs, defensive penalty for the automatic 1st down, another 4 downs).

And then both teams miss their respective XP attempts - one because it doinks off the upright, the other because they decide to go for 2 (probably from the 7 after a false start) and fail.

Double-digits from both is expecting way too much.

Canā€™t tell if Woody Johnson is a genius or just a guy with two names that mean ā€œpenis.ā€

Given the history of the Jets under Woody, Iā€™ll go with the non genius one.

i put him 3rd after Randy Johnson and Magic Johnson

irl I knew a Peter Putz

Itā€™s not a dick-measuring contest!!

While looking at his wiki (not a euphemism!), I saw this:

In March 2022, Johnson made a Ā£2 billion bid to purchase London football club Chelsea F.C. from sanctioned billionaire Roman Abramovich.[22][23] Johnson, who became a fan of the team during his ambassadorship in London, was considered to have an advantage over other bidders like Saudi Media Group due to his familiarity with London and experience in sports management.[24][25] However, by March 25, it was reported that Johnson was no longer in contention to buy Chelsea F.C.[26]

Well, the Jets have never been relegated, so, great sports management!

I wonder if heā€™ll do better at the Vikings.

No happy ending again. Probably going to rub him the wrong way. Maybe he should have paid more for a better experience.

:ctm:

From an SI story in apple gnus:

The Cleveland Brownsā€™ forthcoming game at the Cincinnati Bengals has been moved from Dec. 19 to Dec. 22, the NFL announced Friday morning. It will now kick off at 1 p.m. rather than 8:15 p.m. local time, and air on Fox rather than Amazon Prime.

Jerry Jones can get a head start on replacing Dak Prescott.

ah. So it wasnā€™t a $160 Million contract after all. How much of this contract is he owed, and how much was he paid so far?
Are we not getting that information?
The Media tell us what the League and Teams think we want to hear.

Googlingā€¦
Seems $96M was guaranteed. So, he was paid an average of $46M per season? Maybe there were also some performance bonuses not noted, heh-heh.

Hereā€™s another one that seems different:
