Without Rodri they are not doing very well

Liverpool clinical. Comfortable win w only one real opp for AV. MF still has room to grow but more players involved or available for changes.

Fixed.

That prize has become worthless tbh

Too political now.

Eh. Don’t be a whiny baby about it and not show up like a man. Top team loses the best player and are no longer invincible, as you just agreed. Seems like the right player won the award.
Not that individual awards in a team sport should ever be this important.

I agree that they should have shown up. That was silly.

But the prize has become less about football, and more about FIFA PR.

Unlike Spurs who, even by their standards, are dismal right now (10th place). Even my SIL’s Fulham team is ahead of them.

Since they are mostly EPL players (not Kane, who is disappointed but also plays in a league with four fewer matches), seems like UEFA Nations League is where players have decided to “strike” against.

Also, if only the clubs believed in “country over club,” there wouldn’t be this problem that the UEFA actually created with extra matches (two, and potentially two more) for its Cup competitions.

.as well as extra Champions League games

I found this amusing.

This is hilarious. Some PR firm probably got paid a fortune to “rebrand” them. Spurs management is a joke.

I watch match of the day a lot on YouTube to get a round up. I think BBC is not telling everything to explain what’s happening.

“Thank you for agreeing to be the new MUN coach. Oh, no transfers in January. No pressure!”

The stories about the austerity at old Trafford and the consequent staff low spirits are all over the internet. I am not surprised he doesn’t have the choices he thought he had. I always say when going for a leadership role tone down your expectations. It is an asymmetric scenario. You don’t have as much information as you need and you are the one who has to do the strip tease to entice.

I struggled to get a ticket (reasonably priced) for the Arsenal game so I am going to the Fulham game. The weather is a bit nippy I hope it doesn’t rain.

Oh good. Have you been to a match at Craven Cottage before? Where are your seats?

I was blessed with unseasonably warm and sunny weather both times my SIL took me to matches there. It was an absolutely delightful venue.

I am in the riverside stand to the right of halfway not next to the field. I wanted a bit of cover. It may rain.

ETA: This will be my second time this season. I went a few weeks ago when they lost to villa. Adams was very wasteful.

I was not expecting such a lopsided result. 4-0 steamroll of Spurs over City.

Guardiola has a problem without Rodri around.

Will never understand how my Spurs can do this and yet lose to Ipswich at home. Have to think it is mental.

So should we now start counting how many losses City can have before they fire the manager?

I just witnessed a game turn on it’s head at Craven Cottage. Fulham scored at 20 minutes and was attacking for the first 25 or so then Cunha just changed it. He scored the first assisted with another and scored the third. Another one went in the 90 something minutes as we were walking out.

The weather was miserable with the rain. Might end up with a cold but it was entertaining.
