2024-25 English Premier League discussion

They won’t fire Guardiola simply due to Premier league games.

Small possibility if they get shut out in the CL as well.

But thats about it.

That was weird. A bit like the Man City match where MC dominated early and then Spurs scored 4 goals.

And normally Wolves doesn’t come from behind. It was a surprise.

Did they get some favorable VAR calls?

I am in the camp that believes in VAR. I didn’t keep record of that.

Wolves are not. So, just wondering if they caught a break.

Cunha was good. I would not be surprised if he was the man of the match. He just levelled up. I just don’t think this was a game that the referee was a factor. Not that a losing team won’t complain though.

I might watch that later.

MCI totally lost now. Eh, it happens. Hard to lose the best player in the world, according to some group of people

There is a group of people that think Guardiola is a good coach but he has always benefited from being with a team that can buy without limits. So when they adjust for that they think he is not as great as say Ferguson.

Ferguson seem to benefit from the acquisition advantage.

City are getting a lot of mockery lately

This one really made me laugh

Not sure how Pep gets a huge break from Rodri injury. He’s supposed to be a genius, not just a guy that generally has the best talent available all the time. Coach through it. City has depth and has lost several in a row, not all to great teams. When Liverpool lost VVD and Mo at periods in last few years, it was tough but not forgiven. They lost 4-0 at home. Last I looked they still had Haaland, Foden, Graelish, Gundogan, KDB, Doku, Gvardiol, Silva, Savio, Walker, Stones,…no sympathy for City.

On a separate note Spurs have 6 wins and 5 losses but GD of +13. That’s nuts.

Man City does not look like they will be a threat for title

The wheels have come off after they lost Rodri.

Guardiola seems to be panicking a bit.

He has always under invested in the back and that back has looked weak for a long time now. After Walker got injured it hasn’t looked solid. He always has too many in the mid and front, so much it looks like he is just buying players so that other teams don’t get them.

It’s now 4 or 5 games lost on a trot in the EPL. It is looking terrible. Are you still convinced that the owner wont consider firing Pep?

Fixed that for ya.
Cuz you keep forgetting.
