Finally gonna win my first fantasy game of the season! One of my quarterbacks got a real Purdy mouth, ain’t he.
I now have the top four RBs in my league, can only start two. I could trade out, get some better picks for next year.
Oh, and Fire Sale on NE players!
Can’t believe Belichick didn’t go for it on 4th 3, behind a lot, in enemy territory. Such a pussy. I remember when he wasn’t a pussy.
My opponent has Aaron Jones in his lineup. Risky play on a Monday night when he was doubtful. Now that he’s officially out, the guy apparently asked the commish if he’d allow him to drop someone from his bench, pick up another player, and start that guy over Jones. I meant to replace him earlier…
The commish told him a flat no.
WTF dude. You know having questionable players active on Monday night is always a risk. I was looking at the same thing for Watson tonight. Thankfully his status updated to fine on Sunday AM, but I made sure to check it.
He will beat me anyway barring a monster performance from Watson.
Good call, commish!
He could drop Jones. Hope he’s there on Wednesday if he really wants him. Find whoever has Jones’ backup, trade someone for him.
There are options, but cheating isn’t one of them.
A 1.7 point loss. It was closer than i expected because Doubs got shut out. That last pass would have been a W
ETA: lost in both leagues by less than 2 points. That last incompletion to Watson did me in.
Some league configurations allow add/drop on Mondays if you drop a player on BYE.
Was he looking at starting someone from GB or LV?
Does your bench lock after those games start?
I have not locked benches in our league. I have only been co-comissioner for a couple years in this keague that has been around for 15 years, and we have never locked benches (you can drop anyone from your bench at anytime).
I know some leagues have different rules. However, in this league the rule has always been:
Adds/drops will lock five minutes before the first game on Sunday (excluding Europe games)
You can adjust your lineup in every game up until kickoff.
i had a survivor pool question. Mainly is there a season long pick em contest where you can’t pick the same team twice, and points are awarded as follows:
For each win you pick, you get +17/w_i points, where w_i is the number of total team wins team i had for the season. So a team going 17-0 would get your squad 1 point for the week you chose them, and a team that went 1-16 would get you 17 points had you picked them to win in that miracle week.
For each team you picked that loses, you get -17/l_i, where l_i is the total number of team losses team i had for the season. If you picked a team to win that eventually went 0-17 and they lose, you lose 1 point. If you picked a team team to win that eventually went 16-1, losing the week you chose them, you get -17 points.
So, a rolling season total. Late season a team trailing could heave some hail mary picks of huge underdogs hoping to catch up.
So does this exist? Is the scoring sensible? Should losses hurt more or less than described?
if it doesn’t exist and goes viral, you all owe me royalties.
No, this does not exist. I would tweak it to score using the W/L record of the team picked at that time. Picking a 4-1 team to win gets you 2 points and -5 if they lose. Move on to next week.
But either way, it is too complicated to attract many entrants. But keep 'em coming!
One take on a survivor game I played for a bit was a margin of victory version. You can only pick a team once, and the winner is cumulative margin of victory over the season. A loss didn’t knock you out, but you eat negative points for that.
Made a game-time decision to start Mostert over McC. I think it turned out alright.
2nd RB is Williams (LAR).
I need Lamb + Gallup to beat Herbert in 1/2 PPR tonight. That’s probably a coin flip.
In my other league, I had my second straight week of my QB getting knocked out of the game due to injury. Need Keenan Allen plus Lamb to outscore Ekeler by a big margin in full PPR. Down by 18.2 right now. It’s definitely possible but unlikely.
Already won. Switching Mostert for McC was key, though would have won with McC instead of Williams, but barely. Now Williams is out next week, need to wait on McC.
Benching James Cook in favor of both Bijan & JTnT appears to havd been a mistake through 2.5 quarters
I started Bijan. Sucks that he wasn’t on the injury report and that we found out at half time that he wasn’t feeling well
Also, week 7 is the earliest i have had to enforce the “Greg Rule” as the commisioner. Had to replace Jimmy G with Pickett and pickup a defense(LAR) to replace a bye-week defense (Dallas) for the same manager. Luckily he had his IR slot available, so i did not need to drop anyone.
His opponent is going to be annoyed, as he is now favored to lose since Allen & LV Defense are crapping the bed.
Yup.
NFL is going to probably investigate this to see if the team should have reported something pregame
They are so in bed with Vegas & Daily FFB $$$ that people are going to be upset about this.
